While Monday was pretty hectic, Tom and Alex decide to not let it bother them too much. If anything, the two felt closer to the Cullens than they had before. They ended up going through a couple more shops, each time Alice and Rosalie making the boys carry their bags.

Alex even felt like he was making real headway with Edward, only for said teen to once again tense up around him. It was to the point that Edward had disappeared after Alex accidently bumped into him. Rosalie assured him that her brother messaged her saying something about getting a lift from Emmett to help their mother out. Of course, he didn't believe it for a second. But not wanting to ruin the good mood he had just nodded his head.

Before they dropped the two teens back at their house, the four of them exchanged numbers. Later that night Alex and Tom received messages from both Emmett and Jasper saying how they had to plan another time for them to meet up. Alex noticed that Edward remained silent, but he assumed he was aware of their numbers. He even told the two that the Cullens would be gone for the week for a retreat. Alex made sure to ask Jessica about it at lunch the next day. Apparently, they do it every month or so, so no one really is surprised when the Cullens are all gone from class.

It was now the next day, Alex on his way to visit the martial arts team after school had finished. Dr. Carlisle had cleared him off of any potential injury before he mysteriously left the hospital. Meaning Alex is perfectly healed, no matter what Tom may say.

Walking down the hallway, Alex tries to ignore the curious glances from the other students. As hectic of a situation the accident had been, more and more people had given the teen attention. For anyone else, gaining recognition would've been appreciated. But for the ex-spy it was just unneeded attention that he never cared for.

Arriving at the club room, Alex opens the door and peeks inside to find an instructor in a white Karategi with a few students setting up the mats. Closing the door behind him, Alex slips his shoes off and sets his backpack down with the others. The instructor spots Alex and gives him a smile while walking over.

"Hello. How can I help you?" He says, reaching out to shake Alex's hand.

"Hello, sir. My name is Alex, Mr. Donavin said I could find the martial arts club here." Alex shakes his hand with a firm grip.

Recognition sparks in his eyes. "Alex! Yes, he mentioned how you might be dropping by. I'm glad to hear you wanting to join us, do you have experience?"

"I've dabbled, but it's been years."

'If "dabbled" means a black belt in karate'

"I have a couple uniforms in different sizes, why don't you pick one out and we can get started." Mr. Kaviln instructs as he waves down another student in uniform to come over. "This is Kevin, he'll show you the ropes and answer any questions may have."

Said teen comes over and Alex immediately recognizes him as the guy who helped clear the chaos at the parking lot. Clean cut blond hair, dark brown eyes, and a slightly tan complexion, wearing the standard uniform and an orange belt. As soon as he's gets closer to Alex and Mr. Kaviln his eyes widen in recognition.

"Hey, I remember you. You're the kid that got into that car accident yesterday. Are you okay?" He asks worriedly.

Alex flushes in embarrassment at the attention and the concerned look from Mr. Kaviln. "Yeah, everything's fine. I didn't get hurt or anything so the doctor said that I can do whatever I can tolerate."

"Are you sure you'll be alright?" Mr. Kaviln asks, a small frown on his face. "If you feel like something's wrong just tell me or one of the other leaders here."
