*Morning*

*Ben's POV*

I wake up to Grinny sleeping on my shoulder. His loud purring is what woke me, he looks so cute! I love cats! I look over at my clock, it is 8:30 am. It's a bit early but I may as well get up now. I look over at Grinny and tap him gently. 

"Grinny, can you get off me?" I ask. Slowly, he lifts his head off me. And looks around.

"Huh? Oh, hey Ben. It was cold last night so I decided to sleep on you." He explains licking his paw in the process. I knew he was lying. He was assigned to be partners with Smile Dog, just as I was assigned to Jeff. I bet Smile is driving him nuts!

"Uh huh, sure." I say sarcastically. "Your just here to get away from Smile, aren't you!" He looks up at me, he knows I can tell he's lying.

"Yes! That dog is driving me insane! My fur is falling out from stress!" He spills the beans.

"Ah ha! I knew you wouldn't last a week on your own! Just admit it Grinny, you can't live without me!" I was Grinny's owner when he was a kitten. I looked after him until he was old enough to go on missions. Unfortunately, his mission partner is Smile Dog.

"You were right! I can't survive without you! As we are so small, Slendy is making me share a room with that dog! Please, let me at least stay in your room!" Grinny pratically begs. I roll my eyes but I decide to have mercy on the poor cat. After all, he is technically still my pet.

"Fine." I say " You can sleep in here from now on, I'm sure Slendy won't mind." As soon as I said that, Grinny jumped onto my chest and started purring.

"Thank you so much!" He says cheerfully. I laugh, I've never seen him so enthusiastic about living with me. Suddenly, my stomach growls loudly. I look over at Grinny.

"Hey, I'm gonna go get breakfast, you coming?" I ask. He nods and jumps off me, onto the floor. I pull the covers off me and yawn. I hate getting up early. I really can't be bothered to get dressed so I put on my slippers and decide to eat breakfast in my pj's. As I walk past the mirror, I catch a glimpse of my reflection. My hair is totally messed up and I have bags under my eyes because Jeff woke me. Don't judge me, I need my sleep!

 Once I finally I managed to get downstaris I discovered that Slendy was already awake. He was sitting at the table, reading a newspaper, while drinking coffee. Urgh, I hate coffee. I'm more of a tea person. I made my way over to the cupboard and make myself some tea and get Grinny's cat food. Quickly, I grab a bowl and put the cat food in, then I give it to Grinny who purrs greatfully. I shuffle over to the table and sit down opposite Slendy. He does not appear to have noticed me.

"Sup Slenderman." I say groggily. I am so damn tired! He peers over at me.

"Oh, hey Ben. Your up early." He comments.

"Yeah, I was woken up by a certain someone... *Cough, cough* Grinny." I hope that Slendy will pick up on who I mean. Slendy  turns in Grinny's direction, he does not seem to have realised that we are talking about him.

"Grinny? Why was Grinny in your room?" Slendy asks. I grin a little when he says this.

"Let's just say that Grinny is find Smile a little too... overwhelming." I say casually. I look over at Grinny who gives me a nod of gratitude. "So, I'm going to let him stay with me. Don't worry, he will still go on assignments with Smile."

"Ok, that's fine." Slenderman relplies. Wow, I didn't think he would be so cool about it! He's normally very strict when it comes to the room arrangements.  

"Thank you so much Slenderman!" Grinny cries. Slendy does not like his nickname, if we ever used it when he was around... lets just say I would be better off joining Zalgo. Suddenly, we heard something, coming from upstairs.

"What the- *thump* BEN I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU!" I'm guessing that was Jeff. I steal a glance at Slenderman, he looks pretty alarmed at this. I quickly dash up the stairs and into Jeff's room. I enter to see Jeff on the floor, with a deep gash down his right arm.

"Oh my days, Jeff?! What the hell happened to you?!" I kneel down next to him. His face is a mixture of pain and hatred.

"I was hoping you could tell me that, since it was YOUR fucking sword that almost KILLED ME!!!" He screamed. What?! I never tried to kill him! He's my best friend!!!

"What are you talking about?! What happened?!" I asked.

"I was getting up to go down stairs and when I opened the door, your sword nearly fell on my head!!!" He explained angrily. "You chose the perfect time to do this, didn't you?! I am still messed up over last night and then you do this?! Ben, that's low, really low!!!

"Jeff, I would never try to kill you! You must realise that by now. Your my best friend!!!" I said desperately.  I can't believe he thinks I would try to murder him!

"Then how did your sword get on top of the door?!" He questioned. I really have no idea how my sword got there.

"Jeff, I really don't know how this happened! I promise you I'm not lying!!! I don't know who did this, but someone must have framed me!!!"  Jeff let out a laugh.

"You don't know how it got there? What a petty excuse, even for your standards Ben! Don't lie to me, your tried to murder me, didn't you?!" He started shaking in rage, I've never seen Jeff this mad before.

"Jeff, your my best friend! I would not ever even think about killing you!" I plead with him. Please Jeff, you've got to believe me!

"Your not my best friend! Your nothing to me!!! You have betrayed me!!! Just go fucking well die Ben!!! I HATE YOU!!!" Jeff draws the last blow. I can't bare to look at him anymore. I've got to get out of here. No more blood is pouring out the gash on his arm, so I know he will be alright. I stand in the doorway, about to leave, when Jeff says one last thing to me.

"Just go to sleep."

That's it, I can't take this anymore. I run out of his room, knocking over Masky in the process. He wants me to die?! I can't believe he told me to go to sleep!!! The only other proxy he has said that to, was Jane! Does he really loathe me as much as Jane? That thought only makes me tear up. Black tears flow down my face but I just don't care anymore.
