*Jeff's POV*
Ben just ran out of my room like the coward he is. If I ever see his face again I swear I'm gonna- My thought are interrupted by Masky walking into my room.
"Hey Jeff, do you know what's wrong with Ben? He just ran out of here crying and- Oh my gosh Jeff, are you alright?!" He says, gaping at the cut on my arm. He quickly rushes to my side. I smirk at the thought of making Ben cry.
"No, I'm not alright!" I snap at him. That came out angrier than it was supposed to, Masky is only trying to help me. "I'm sorry Masky, I'm just under a lot of stress at the moment."
"That's alright Jeff. Who did that to you?" I feel the rage fill me up when I think of him...
"Ben! Ben did this to me!!!" I'm pratically shouting at Masky now. I can't tell what his face looks like because of his mask but I'm guessing that he is quite shocked.
"Ben?! But you and Ben are best friends!" Masky says in a confused tone. I feel really mad at him for even saying that me and Ben are friends!
"WE ARE NOT FRIENDS!!! HE IS DEAD TO ME!!!" I scream at him. Masky is taken aback. I've never lashed out at him before.
"Alright Jeff, just calm down. I'm sure there's a logical explanation to all of this." Masky states. There's no other reason than that Ben tried to murder me!!! I don't know why Ben did this. I will confront him soon, and probably beat the living day-lights out of him while I'm at it!
"No Masky! I won't calm down!!! There is only one explanation to all of this, Ben is a bitch! He's a spiteful, lying, back-stabbing, bitch!!!" I'm really starting to loose it now, Masky can be so blind sometimes! Why does he need to find another explanation, when all the evidence we need is right in front of us!!!
"Just don't rush to conclusions. We need to hear Ben's story first. Because trying to kill a fellow proxy, who is on the same side as you, is a very serious crime. So we can't just go and accuse him before finding any information." Masky explained. I want to argue, but I can't be bothered. So I decide to go along with him, for now.
"Alright, but if I find anything suspicious, I will tell Slenderman." I warn. Masky nods at me. We get up and walk into the corridor. I look at Ben's room. The door is shut, as usual, and I can hear a noise coming from inside. We make our way over to the door. Masky knocks. There is a slight shuffling sound coming from inside and then we hear a voice.
"Go away. I'm not in the mood to do anything." Typical Ben, always hiding from everything. He doesn't deserve to be called a proxy. Masky knocks again.
"Ben, it's me, Masky. Can I come in?" Masky doesn't mention that I'm here as well.
"No. I don't want to see anyone." Ben replies. "Please, go away." I roll my eyes. He is testing my patience.
"Ben, just let us in or I swear I will kick the door down!" I say fiercely. Masky gives me a disapproving look.
"Jeff! Don't be so demanding! You know how sensitive he is. He's probably already in an emotional flux as it is! We don't want to make it worse!!!" Masky whispers. Just then, Ben opens the door. Masky was wrong, Ben is not in an emotional flux, he is an emotional wreck! Ben's eyes are all puffy and black tears stain his cheeks. His hair is all messed up and he looks very pale. I've never seen Ben this vulnerable before. His eyes widen and he falls backwards, when he sees me.
"J-Jeff?! W-What are y-you doing here?" He stutters. Is he... afraid of me?! Oh yes! This keeps getting better and better!
"Yeah, it's me." I snapped. Masky glared at me. What? Ben did try to murder me, so I think I have the right to be unkind!
"Ben, we just want to know what happened from your point of view." Masky said reassuringly. I should have known that Masky will always try to be kind to everyone. Ben got up off the floor.
"Sure. I would be happy to help in anyway possible." Ben said. Yeah right! I bet he's putting it on.
"Ben, cut the innocent act. We all know it was you." I replied. Ben looked up at me in shock.
"But, it wasn't! I didn't do it, I swear!" He protested. Masky decided to step in.
"Alright, look. Jeff, we are not going to accuse anyone before we know more information." Masky turned to Ben. "Ok, Ben. What happened?"
"Last night, I heard a scream coming from Jeff's room so I ran inside. Jeff was screaming. I asked him why and he said there was a spider. So I dismissed it and went back to bed. Then I woke up to find Grinny sleeping on me. I got up and went downstairs and got Grinny some breakfast. Slenderman was already awake so we started chatting and that's when I heard Jeff shouting. I ran upstairs and Jeff was bleeding and my sword was next to him." Ben explained. I don't believe a word of that rubbish! How could his sword just magically get on top of my door?!
"Thank you Ben. I hope you realise we will be asking both Grinny and Slenderman to see if your story matches theirs." Masky says formally. Ben doesn't hesitate with his answer.
"That is absolutely fine. Their accounts should match mine."
"Oh and we also need to search your room... to see if there are any suspicious items in here." I say quickly. Ben looks surprised.
"Be my guest, I have nothing to hide." Ben said. I bet he's lying through his teeth. I will find something, I know I will.

Cliff hanger!!! Some of you may be wondering. "What the heck has this got to do with Jeff going insane?!" But trust me, it does. Insanity takes a while to form and I am building up to it. You just don't go insane overnight! It takes many events or experiences to make a person insane.
