The gun in her hand was at aim, her mom just outside the door
She would open it any second, the girl had to get ready fast
It had to be quick,
It had be real,
It had to work or else all would fail
The alarm ticked down, time itself losing seconds
And soon there would be only seconds left
Nobody could find out, it had to be discreet
It had to be now, there was no other chance
Otherwise she'd be sinking into a sand pit, slowly killing herself
Why did it have to be this way, why couldn't she be normal, why, she asked
Her mom's feet stormed up the stairs, she knew it was now or never
She pulled back the trigger once,
Safety off for all, it had to be fast
Her mom came closer, she chided herself to shoot
And then to door was open, she wish she could take her eyes away for this
She shut her eyes, the sound of bullet smashing skull
The blood dripped, the skull caved in, the blood splattered on her hand
And a gasp
The mom stared in shock, the last thing she saw
And the sound of the body thumping to the floor
Bloody Heart
Bloody Fingers
Bloody Hands
The girl's hand went limp and then gun fell out of her hand
Eyes glazed over
As the mom watched the bullet hit the center of her daughter's skull
