Author's Note:

I have always as a young child, always believed in magic. I thought anybody could do it if they tried and I took magicians as an example. They did the most wonderous things. Imagine it.... pull a rabbit out of a hat, disappear into thin air, make things fly and so on. As I steadily grew older, the more I became to realize there is no such thing as magic. That discovery broke my heart. Gone was the world of wonder and fantasy. What loomed before me was school. Primary school and now high school. Writing this story has made me come to realize why not use my childhood wonders to combine it with my high school life. Then came the name Maia, a name I have loved. I thought why not create a girl in high school with magic. Rather than magic I chose a spellcaster, which then would appeal more to older ages. Letting my character be rebellious and a troublemaker would present more opportunities to create different scenes. The character Maia was presented before us and now we are going inside her head. Inside to a world of magic and spells. Of hilarious behaviours and pranks. A world, that when compared, is nothing like the reality we live in today.
