The Roommates [5SOS]

Chapter 1

{ Chapter 1 }

I needed a new roommate because my Dad stopped paying for my apartment because he wanted me to be what they say "independent" it was either I get a roommate or a job. So I hung posters around saying I needed a roommate. Not a boy roommate but a girl roommate because boys are, ugh. Onto the story..

I woke up & checked my phone as I got an email from a girl named Addison. I replied to the email saying "Okay, meet me at my apartment for the interview in two hours" then sent the email. As two hours passed by I was on the couch watching TV as I heard someone knock on my door. I opened the door & saw it was Ashton Irwin. "Hi, I'm your new roommate Ashton" he said "I'm sorry, my roommate is suppose to be Addison" I replied "That's me" he replied as he went inside & hopped onto the couch watching TV as I closed the door.

"Excuse me?" I said "I'm your roommate" he replied "But-" he cut me off. "I used a fake email to contact you" Ashton said "No, you can't be my roommate" I replied "Okay then, pay your apartment bills yourself" he replied as he almost walked out the door "Wait! Fine, you can be my roommate" I replied. I knew I was going to regret this but I need help paying my apartment bills. "Aha, okay" he said as he sat down back on the couch.

As he was watching TV I went back into my room until he told me about his "mates" coming over to check the apartment "What do you mean by that?!" I asked "Oh, my mates are moving in with us too" he replied carelessly changing the channels. "But, I only have two rooms here!" I replied "Easy, two here in the living room & two in the other room. Of course, I'm not sleeping on the floor" he replied. "But- How- UGH!" I said as I walked into my room and shut the door.

(Ashton's POV)

A few minutes later I heard someone knocking on the door. It was my mates. Luke, Calum, & Michael. "This apartment looks pretty cool" Luke said looking around "Aha, yeah" I replied "Where's your roommate?" Calum asked "In her room" I replied "What's her name?" Calum asked "Oh, don't know" I replied. "She's your roommate & you don't know?" Michael asked "Yeah" I replied "How are you suppose to call her when you need something?" Luke asked "I don't-" the girl cut me off "My name is Serenity, & I'm not your maid" she said as she went back into her room.

"Serenity, come out here meet your other roommates! I yelled "I already know them!" she yelled back "She's not use to having boy roommates" I said "I can tell, let's watch a movie" Luke replied as they all hopped onto the couch & we all started watching a movie. It was an old Disney Movie.

(Back to her POV)

The boys in the living room were being to loud. & annoying. I only agreed to one roommate not four. As I kept laying down on bed I started to get hungry. So I went outside my room & then went to the kitchen as I was going into the kitchen they all asked me to get them something. But I didn't get them anything. Because I wasn't their maid nor waitress. After I was done eating Ashton grabbed my arm "Watch the movie with us" Ashton said "No thanks, I think I'll head back to my room" I replied "I don't think so" he replied as he took my arm and made me sit down on his lap because there wasn't anymore space.

After the movie was done they all went to the kitchen to grab something to eat "Why don't you get to know your roommates over dinner?" Ashton asked "I'm fine, thanks" I replied as he grabbed my arm & made me go to the kitchen with him & his friends. "Ren, is it okay if I call you Ren? How did you enjoy the movie?" Luke asked me "No, & boring" I replied "Our roommate is a little what do you call it?" Calum asked "Annoyed" I replied as I pulled my arm away from Ashton then went into my room. As I went to my room I heard them talking about me. "She's a little stingy" Calum said "Yeah" they all agreed "We should just find a new roommate" Luke replied "No, we just met her, we should at least try to get to know her, I know she's better then what she is now" Ashton replied.

"What's the point? She's not even gonna try to get to know us, so why should we try?" Michael asked as I came out of my room "I-" I paused "I'll try to get to know you guys.." I replied while looking at the ground as I looked up & saw Ashton smile. "So, we'll all try to get along with her?" Ashton asked as they all smiled "Yeah" they all agreed.

After a really long day. We all went to sleep. Ashton & Calum shared the other room as Luke & Michael slept in the living room. Of course, I had the room to myself. I wouldn't want to share my room with a boy. Before I went to sleep, I got up & looked out the window & looked at the stars then went back to bed & started sleeping.
