You and your boyfriend, (bf/n) were making you're way down in a canoe to the Black Lagoon to search for different plant specimens for your science class.
To be honest, you wished that you had asked your friend, (f/n) to come with you instead because your boyfriend kept asking you the most bizarre things you had ever heard.
Sure you guys would have your little fights here and there, but right now was just completely stupid and irrelevant to what you guys were doing at the moment.
"(Bf/n), can we talk about this later? Cuz I really wanna make sure that I'm getting the right plants that I need for my science project", you said, trying not to get frustrated.
"No (Y/n), we're gonna talk about this now! Why does that guy, (g/n) follow you on Twitter?!"
"For the millionth time, I don't know. Now can you please help me look for this plant called Alkali Heath? Cuz it says on my list that I need 4 samples of it.", you said as you were looking at the picture of the plant on your phone while also looking through a patch of grass.
"You know what, no! I'm done!"
"Wha? What do you-", you were cut of when your boyfriend jumped off the canoe and started swimming the way you guys came.
"It means that I'm dumping your sorry a$$! Also, if I were you, I would watch my back!"
"Why, you piece of s***?!", you yelled back to your now Ex-boyfriend.
"Cuz, you never know what may be lurking in these parts of the lagoon..", he said as he finally got on to dry land and left.
You knew what he was talking about, but you knew that, that creature was just a complete myth made to scare little kids to never go out to the lagoon alone at night.
Nevertheless, you were still gonna watch you're back cuz you learned that there were many poachers that came to these parts to kill snapping turtles and stuff like that.
Unbeknownst to you though, while you were looking through the patches of grass for the different plant specimens, there was someone or something watching you from the distance.
~ Time Skip ~ You FINALLY got all the right plant specimens and the amount of samples, so you started making your way back the way you and your Ex-boyfriend came.
But, on your way back, you heard it.
"AAAAAGH!"(I tried to put a recording in, but it wouldn't let me. I'm sorry☹️)
You started looking in all directions to see who created that ungodly screech, but you couldn't see anything since it was somewhat dark outside.
The next thing you knew was that your canoe was hit from under which caused you to fall into the murky water, then you ended up passing out.
~ Time Skip ~ You finally woke up and saw that you were laying on a bed of dahlia lagoon flowers.
