I can’t believe it’s been almost 4 months without seen Leo, we only msg through messenger or myspace but that kind of faded because he just stopped. I would send him notifications but he would ignore them and I just stopped too because I didn’t want to look like a stalker or a crazy person.
It’s already November and I came to Reynosa because I have a thanksgiving break and my birthday is on Thursday. I will be turning 14. I still can’t believe I met Leo when I was 12 time passes by so fast. I need to catch up to it.
I am worried about Leo so ill stop by his house later on the week.
Leo’s POV
I still can’t believe it’s been almost 4 months since I saw Samantha. She is probably mad at me because I haven’t replied to any of her messages. Her birthday is coming up I wonder is she’ll be coming. Would she do something? Would I be invited? I don’t think so and I don’t blame her.
“How are you feeling?” Noel walks in my room
“Better than yesterday.” I’ve been in bed for the past month.
“Hang on bro, heart surgery it’s never easy.” I can see pity on his face
“Don’t you think I know, I been having surgeries since I was born. I’m getting tired of this.”
I was born with a heart condition and since I was a baby I spend a lot of time in hospitals. The only people that know are Noel and my mom. I had been meaning to tell Sam but I can’t. I don’t want her to feel bad for me. I don’t want her to stop spending time with me, but I guess I don’t have to worry about that anymore because she is probably mad at me.

Samantha’s POV
It’s already Thursday. Happy Birthday to me! This day already sucks; I woke up to find that my mom had left with my dad to his work. I mean are you serious it’s my damn birthday not even a fucking happy birthday morning hug, kiss whatever. I guess I’ll just go to my grandma’s. We only live a few blocks away from her so I don’t have to walk too much although I would have even if she lived 30 blocks away.
As I arrived to my grandma’s I see that no one is there either. Just my Luck. Where is everyone?
After standing of my grandma’s sidewalk for like what felt hours I decided to go to Leo’s house. He is probably in school but I could spend some time with Linda.
I’m glad they love closer to my grandma’s than me because I’m already tired of all the walking around.
Leo’s POV
Finally today is the day that I can get up from my damn bed. I am thankful for that because I really wanted to go see Samantha even though she probably doesn’t want to see me.
As I was getting putting on some clothes I heard the doorbell. I wonder who it is at 10 in the morning. I hear my mom opening the front door. Wait a minute is that Sam’s voice I hear? No way
“Hi darling, how you’ve been?” my mom says
“I’ve been good thanks how about you guys? How is Leo?” that is definitely Samantha
“Oh you know same Leo, he is here you want me to call him?”
“Wait he didn’t go to school?” I heard her ask
