It was Wednesday morning which meant we were nearing the end of the school week and I for one couldn't wait for Friday.
California was currently in the middle of one of its worst ever heatwaves. All week I have been finding it hard to concentrate in class and on my homework because all I can think about is the heat and the amount of sweat that is rolling off of my body.
The fact that Cameron has been walking around the house shirtless everyday hasn't been helping with keeping me cool.
As I was walking through the school hallway I couldn't help but notice the little amount of clothes people have been wearing. I say maybe half of that is because of the heat and the other half are just usually dressed like that.
I was walking to the cafeteria for lunch my horrible biology teacher Ms.Smith stopped me to comment on my attire
"Just because it is a little hotter than usual doesn't mean you can just throw the dress code out the window Ms.Lawley" she says looking straight into my eyes with her arms folded
"But Ms half the girls and guys at school are dressed like this today and have been dressed like this all week, you can't only give out to me" I informed her
"Don't you dare speak back to me, you've just earned yourself a detention, today after school" she said back
"I wasn't talking back I was stating a fact" I retaliated. By now I was starting to get an attitude with her, she has never liked me and I've had her since freshman year. She can't punish only me for something that the majority of the school is doing.
She handed me a detention slip and walked away while I continued to the cafeteria to have my lunch. As I sat down I slightly threw my bag in the table and gave a huff.
"Wow what's up with you buttercup" Cameron smirked from across the table
"Not now Dallas, Ms.Smith has just given me an after school detention for disobeying the dress code" I explained as I took a bite out of my sandwich.
"That's a little unfair considering the majority of the school is half naked today" lea commented
"yeah it is but the only reason why little Lawley over here is being punished is because she has never gotten on with Ms.Smith" Kian answered
"Okay really Kian, little Lawley, 3 minutes remember, only 3 minutes" I replied ignoring the whole other part of the conversation
"Hey cheer up, you may have an unfair detention today, but after school on Friday we've all decided to go to the beach" Cameron said placing his hand on my arm and flashing me a small smile.
I smiled back in return and continued with my lunch. The idea of being at the beach this Friday honestly put me in a much better mood. I couldn't wait for the weekend and to have nothing to do. It really couldn't come quick enough.
~Friday, after school
Ali's P.O.V
It was Friday and that meant two things 1. We are going to the beach today and 2. Mom was home and that means we get the go home too. I'll admit, I enjoyed spending time in gina's for the week but I would have preferred the freedom of having no parents and it just being Kian and I but I suppose we got ourselves into that mess.
I had just finished changing and packed a bag with the essentials for the beach and we were just waiting on Cameron to come and pick us up.
Not long later, Cameron was outside our house and we were on our way to the beach it was cam, Kian, lea, Aaron, Jack j, Jack g, Madison and I
When we reached the beach we found a nice spot a little bit away from the sea so none of our items would get wet and also so we were away from any screaming and crazy kids.
The guys began to play a game of soccer while us girls began to sunbathe.

After a while of sunbathing I began to get bored so I decided to go for a swim. Lea and Madison both joined and we were soon followed by the boys.
We swam around for a little bit, messed with each other and just talked. I was having such a great time and I could tell everyone else was too.
It was nearing 5 o'clock so we decided to get out of the water and dry off. I put on some shorts with one of Kian's jumpers and my sandals.
We decided it was time to get some food as we were all starving so we began to make our way towards the small restaurant that was open across the road from the beach.
As we were walking along the sand Cameron came up beside me. "Does this remind you of our first date?" He asked smirking while grabbing a hold of my hand
"Omg that was not a date, we were chased out of a house by the cops and just ended up here" I laughed while playing with his hand a little
"Yeah, but it was the first time we spent real time alone, just the two of us" he replied
We continued walking again in silence, holding hands while swinging them back and forth.
"I want to take you on a real date" Cameron spoke up after about 5 minutes
"What" I asked totally confused
"I want to take you out and show you that I'm serious about us" he explained while stopping in his tracks and facing me
"I didn't think you were actually serious when you said you liked me" I answered truthfully
"Of course I am, so what do you say, will you Alissa Lawley please go on a date with me tomorrow night" he smiled while holding both of my hands
I stayed quite for a few seconds while thinking about my answer "ugh fine if it will make you stop pining over me" I answered with a smile
"Are you serious, like your not kidding, you'll go out with me" he asked repeatedly with huge excitement in his voice. I found it quite cute how he was so excited about the whole idea of going on a date with me.
"Yes I'll go on a date with you now leave me alone" I laughed.
