This past two weeks has been awesome. Blake and I are really hitting it off and I feel like we are on top of the world. Liam constantly harrases me about Rose and he's calling me his 'love adviser'. As if I could give love advise but I guess I'm doing a pretty good job since my advise is working. Mom has to defend a teenager who they are accusing of committing a homicide so she has to go to New York for a month. Dad tried filling in moms position but that just means that we have to order take out for dinner every night. The first night mom wasn't with us Dad decided to make lasagna but it so happened that football was on and he 'forgot' that he was cooking. We did eat lasagna that night but it was only beacause of the restaurant downtown.
Tomorrow is Lyell's birthday and I called a couple of his friends which was only four guys and like three girls excluding Kylie. He always says that it doesn't matter how many friends you have its quality not quantity. I always respect him for that even though he's a jerk and an idiot sometimes there is still some maturity in him. It was Liam's idea to have a surprise birthday party for him and I sadly went along with it but its hard to plan a birthday party for a soon to be 15 year old. You never know what they're in to.What did I get myself into?
"What kind of music does Lyell like" I sigh looking Liam straight in his face. He knows I'm frustrated about Lyell's birthday. He got up from his seat and squeezed me into a bear hug.
"I hired a DJ so no need to worry about music". He squeezes me one last time and sigh "You need to stop worrying, its just a party"
"Well mom isn't here and she's the one who deals with birthday. I just want to make it perfect so that he doesn't get disappointed" I finish placing a hand over my forehead
"Marie is baking the cake right" Liam asks
''Yes and Rose is taking care of the decorations I'm picking up the cake today" I say getting up and looking for my keys
"We already called his friends, the cake, decorations, DJ, and gifts are covered all we need to do is get him out of the house all day tomorrow" Liam states
"Yes and I hope that you can keep him out all day" I say rushing over to my bag and back to Liam giving him a quick hug and a wave goodbye. Time for me to get my game face on. I hope nothing goes wrong.

On the way to Marie's and Blake's house I picked up Rose with all of the decorations she bought. She did a good job, she got blow up letters that spelled out Lyell, She also got cups and plates customized with his name on each one in Blue and she got balloons and LED lights and the best gift of all a gold Rolex watch for Lyell
"Rose how did you afford that watch?" I ask her with my eyes planted on the road
"My dad has a bunch of watches that's never been touched so I took one. Without asking. So if my dad starts asking around for his watch you know nothing about it." Rose finishes with a laugh in her voice
We finally reach at Blake's house and we're greeted by his parents. I met them last week and we're planning for Blake to fully meet my parents when mom comes back. I walked in the house and it smelled so good.
"Oh my goodness Marie this cake looks amazing" I say in awe
Marie baked a chocolate Heart shaped cake and she is currently icing it to perfection with Lyell's name on it
"Your gonna make a great chef or baker one day" Rose says inspecting the cake
"So Mary if its okay, I know its late to ask but can you be the caterer for the party tomorrow? We'll pay you by the hour. We just need pastries and stuff like that" I ask hoping she says yes
