Tears Like Bullets

Chapter 2

Camila's POV

I catiously peek my head through the door's opening. The room is strangely dark, curtains drawn, the only source of light being Lauren's cell phone. Hearing the slight whimpers and sniffles, I realize what has happened. Keaton's left her. Probably for some skank that will put out easy. I really don't understand why Lauren dates brainless neanderthals, when she deserves so much better! I mean I dont really know much about relationships, but aren't they supposed to make you happy? My thoughts are interuppted by the unmistakable sound of Lauren's raspy tone, coated with extra sorrow and just a pinch of regret. There was always regret.

"I said go away!" The sobs became more distinct, and I feel a piece of my heart break off. My poor Lolo, giving her heart and soul to a selfish boy who ends up shattering her, just like the others before him. And everytime, I'm here to fix her up and mend her broken heart. Cuz i guess thats just what friends do.

"Lolo its me..." I step into the room slowly making my way to the enormous pile of fluffy blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals which encased Lauren in what i liked to call her "post breakup cocoon".

"Camz.. I.. I.. dont.. He.." She never finished, breaking into uncontrollable sobbing. I slide my way into her covers and hold her shaking form, stroking her long dark hair. Looking down at her, I find myself puzzled. How is that it that this amazing and beautiful creature has had her heart shattered more times than i can count on one hand? How can someone not love her? What is there thats not to love? She has a a wonderful mind, shes a genius and is knowledgable beyond her years. Her voice is mindblowing, when she sings it sounds like sky is opening up and giving you a sneak peek of heaven. Her laugh is adorable, it can make me smile no matter what. Her eyes, well lets just say theyre a portal to her soul. A very deep and very passionate soul. Not to mention her kickass body. Softball was a good investment of her time because *whistle* that girl is toned! What i would do to that..
