Penny For Your Thoughts?

Brooke's POV:

Lunch. Finally.

I just finished my fourth period of the day and I still need two more to go. So far I haven't seen Jacques and I'm grateful for that. I wasn't in the mood to see him.

Throughout my classes Cole was bothering me. He kept poking me, kicking my chair, and throwing me stuff. As far as I sat away from him he always found a way to annoy me.

I don't understand what I did to deserve this. Can't he just take the hint that I don't want anything to do with him and his boys.

I shut my locker, after I had put in all my stuff and gotten my wallet. I made my way to the cafeteria and grabbed a tray. I grabbed a bottle of water, a pizza and some lays from the vending machine.

I looked around the cafeteria and saw Chloe and Adrian sitting by the window. I made my way towards them and sat down next to the window opposite from Adrian.

He was eating a salad while his back was laying against the wall with one foot up the bench. Chloe on the other hand was eating a burger and an apple.

"Hey guys." I said.

"What's up!" They said in unison.

"Not much! Where's Azalea and Luke?" I opened my cheese and peppers packet and poured it around my pizza.

"They said they'd be here. They went off campus and bought some burgers." She said as she took a bite of her burger.

"What up losers!" Luke yelled. He walked towards us with Azalea behind him. They had drinks and bags of food with them.

"I brought drinks for everyone and I even brought a little something in case you're still hungry." Azalea said. They sat down around us and began to hand out the food and drinks.

"Lemonade for Chloe. Hazelnut iced coffee for Brooke." She handed me my drink and I clapped excitedly.

"Thank you!" I said.

"No problem. It was Adrian's idea." She said. I looked at Adrian and said thanks. He just replied with a salute.

After she was done we all started eating. I grabbed some of the fries Luke got us and opened a ketchup package. After five minutes of silent eating Azalea broke the silence.

"So is it true?" She asked. She took a bit of her burger and drank some coke.

"Is what true?" I asked, not knowing what she was referring too.

"That you spent two nights with the bad boy Cole!" She silently screamed. I gave her a confused look.

"We heard Van and her minions talking during Chem about how you spent the night at his house and how he spent it at yours last night." Adrian clarified.

Wow word gets around. How can these people spend so much time worrying about others personal lives. I mentally rolled my eyes and sighed.

"Yea I did. Well, technically didn't." I said. "I left during the middle of the night maybe later." I didn't need to give them the reasons as to why I left. "I wandered around the streets and I got in an accident, you can say." That's when I raised my left palm and showed them the cuts.

They gasped but let me continue. "Anyways I was hella drunk and I didn't know what to do and Cole and his guys helped me. I stayed in a separate room and I went home the next morning." I finished. I grabbed my iced coffee and starting drinking it.

"Then what about last night," Asked Chloe "people said they saw Cole and his friends leave your house like at 11 at night.

"They came over!" I said and shrugged my shoulders acting like nothing happened. Which in fact nothing did happened.

"Anyways," Azalea said breaking the silence. "Speaking of coming over. My parents are going to be away all month so I was wondering if you guys wanted to sleep over on Friday and the rest of the weekend." she excitingly said. She grabbed her burger and bit into it.

"I'm down!" Exclaimed Adrian, followed by 'Yeah's' from all of us.

"Cool, so we'll all carpool on Friday."

We continued eating our lunch and continues to make small talk about school. I was really tired so I didn't listen much to what they were talking about. I stared out the window and saw the clouds getting a bit darker. We'll probably have some rain tomorrow or at night. I raised my elbows to the desk and rested my chin on top of my hands.

I stared out into the clouds as I saw the sky get a little darker and windy. The clouded sky reminded me of when me and Jacques escaped for the weekend to the cabin my parents have in Big Bear. It was our second year anniversary and even though I tried to make it a special night. I just couldn't.

He said it was okay, that he was willing to wait for as long as he wanted to. A part of me knew he hated me for doing that but the other part of me was saying I was a little coward and I could've just given him this special night. Yet he said he was okay with it, that he was willing to wait a million years if he had to. The other part didn't want me to give him this special thing even though a part of me knew he deserve it.  I just couldn't give it up.

He said he was okay with it, even though I knew he wasn't. He gave me this look of annoyance but would cover it up with a look of happiness even though I knew he was faking it. That same night we made up and even though we didn't have sex we did fool around a bit. I'm still so glad a part of me didn't cave in. I would have been miserable knowing that I gave him something so special when he clearly didn't deserve it.

He would've left me the second it was over.

"Penny for your thoughts." I was brought back to reality when someone whispered down my ear. I felt their hot breath fanning my cheek. I turned around and almost wished I hadn't.

HEYYYY, it's been like what? Three weeks since I've updated lol !!

I'm back from camping and let me tell you!! It was one of the most amazing experiences I had. Camping, hiking, swimming and Jet Skiing. We literally bumped into another Jet Ski and flipped over and fell into the lake. It was really fun. I skinny dipped lol. Shhhh don't tell anyone and I met these cool people.

I've been taking much more dance lessons at the dance studios I go to another reason why i haven't updated. I've been book shopping, shopping and hanging out with friends!! Hopefully I'll have more time to write many more chapters, edit them and publish them.
