I groaned as my eyes fluttered to an open. The lights practically blinding me. It took me a couple minutes before I was able to open my eyes completely. I looked around the room wondering where the hell I was.

The white walls and cabins on my left side. The smell of disinfectant making me even more light headed. I pushed myself off the bed and sat down.

"Sir! You can't go in there!" I heard the nurse yell.

"Like hell I can!" I heard someone yell back. The door to the room flew open causing me to jump back. Cole stopped in his tracks as soon as he saw me. He stared at me and said nothing until the nurse walked in.

"I'm sorry Ms. Maddox. He wouldn't leave and demanded to come in. I couldn't stop him!" The nurse was in her mid thirties with medium length brown hair. I closed my eyes and sighed.

"It's cool! Where's my brother?" I asked her.

"He had to go home. The principal thought it would be best if some students left." She said. I nodded my head. She took that as a cue to leave.

"Wow! You... You look bad." I heard Cole say. I chuckled and looked at him.

"I wouldn't be talking. It looks like you just got ran over by a truck!" I said. His bottom lip was cut and swollen. His left cheek was purple and swollen. He had a small cut on the left side of his forehead. He looked like shit with blood and dirt all over his face. He had his stomach clutched in pain.

"Oh please! This!" He said pointing at his face. "Is nothing compared to what your brother, my friends and I did to Jacques." I laughed which caused him to smile. Oh Jacques! What did you do? Why did you do it?

I sighed and looked down "I'm Sorry!" We both said at the same time. I laughed and looked at him in disbelief.

"Why are you sorry?" I asked at the same time he asked me me. I chuckled and raised my hand to keep him from talking.

"Weird. Anyways, I'm sorry about what Jacques did to you! About this whole problem!" I said.

"If anyone should be apologizing here. It's me. It was stupid of me to... " He looked at me with a questioning look. "I shouldn't have gotten involved but I just couldn't stand seeing him grab you like he owns you... and when you started crying... I don't know I just... I kind of lost it." He looked down and scratched the back of his neck.

"It's fine Thank you but you didn't have to do that!" I said. "What time is it?" I asked him not being able to stand the silence.

He looked at his apple watch. "3:17. School ended about 20 minutes ago. Why?"

"I just want to go home." I looked around for my things and spotted them on the chair in the corner. I jumped off the bed and walked to grab my things. I pulled my phone out and saw many texts and missed calls from my friends and family. I opened my brothers text and decided to text everyone else when I get home.

Brother from the same Mother 👫❤️:
Hey I have baseball practice today so I won't be able to go home with you. I'll get one of the guys to drop me off. I hope you feeling better. I'll see you at home around 6. Love you XX

I decided to not text back since he was at practice. After texting my friends I called my parents and made my way out the nurses office. I signed out and headed to my locker.

"Hello? Sweetie are you okay?" My mothers concerned voice asked me.

"Yea, I'm fine. Listen Jace is at practice and I'm guessing you guys won't be home till very night right?" I asked.
