Emrys POV
We walked into the village together. Aphmau invited me to her house and I agreed.
-time skip to Aphmau's house-
I sit at Aphmau's dinner table.
(Table~Chan: notice me SENPAI )
She brings me some tea and I smile in thanks. I sip the tea little at a time since it's still pretty hot.
"How um... How did you find me?" I ask randomly.
She stops and looks at me.
"What do you mean?"
"Well.. All I remember is being chased by Zane, then I woke up in the tree house with you next to me.."
"Oh well um... I don't know... She says sitting next to me.
I raise an eyebrow.
How does she not know how I got here.
"You see, I was checking the tree house to find something... But you were suddenly there. I freaked out and called for Garroth. He came up the stairs since he was waiting for me at the bottom. We both noticed you were injured. So we got Zoey, you know her, to heal you. Then later on when I was watching you, you woke up. The rest you obviously remember."
I took a moment to think about this. She saw me confused.
"Listen I'm sorry.. that's all the information I have" she says apologetically.
I smile. "It's ok."
She smiles back and takes a sip of her tea, sitting down at the table.
(Table~chan: I'm still here my love)
I look at my empty cup.
I'm never going back to O'khasis...
I think to myself. I look back at Aphmau. "Thank you.." I say.
She looks at me raising an eyebrow.
"Why are you saying "thank you"?"
"Because... You could have locked me up.. Or worse.. But you showed me kindness and helped me. Then accepted me into the village without hesitation.." I say.
"Most villages...Wouldn't be as generous..." I look down.
She puts a hand on my shoulder.
"We think of you as family here Em... This is your home.." She says .
I smile, and it's not a fake one... For once... It's a real genuine smile.
"Thanks.... This really is my home..."
"Yes it is Emrys... But don't worry, we WILL find out what happened to you."
"Thank you.. Aphmau.."
She then hugs me.. And I hug back.
She lets go and finishes her tea.
"I'm gonna go into town, wanna come..?" She asks.
I nod and follow her into town.
We reach the plaza, where we see a large crowd. We look at each other and go to the crowd. Most of the village is there. I then see Vlyad and walk over to him. He sees me and smiles in relief.
"My Irene Em, where were you!" He says.
I look back at Aphmau.
"I was with her..why?"
He look at the middle of the crowd.
I see Katelyn... Holding.... Alexis. My heart stops.
Everything becomes blurry and I see Garroth running to Aphmau who is talking to Katelyn. I push through the crowd to here what there talking about.
"I'm done playing lord Aphmau, give me Emrys, or else!" She says.
I feel my face turn red in anger. And walk over to Katelyn with my fist balled.
"IM. RIGHT. HERE..." I say
Everyone looks at me.
"Emrys, come on, it's either you, or the baby..." Katelyn says.
I look at Molly and Dale who are begging for there child back.
"Give them there kid, or ELSE, you Jury of Nine piece of trash." I say. Katelyn sighs and throws Alexis to them. Dale catches her and hugs her tightly.
"Emrys No!"
Aphmau screams. I turn my head and see her crying and is being held back by Garroth who is also crying. I then turn my head to Vlyad who is pale. I turn my head back to Katelyn. Before I say anything, I feel a fist on my face and I fall back.
"THATS for leaving me."
She then kicks me in the stomach. I scream out in pain.
"THATS for betraying your village"
She then grabs me by the throat and throws me to the ground.
"AND THATS FOR YOUR FAMILY"
She screams at me.
I begin to cry on the ground. I don't here anything.. Only ringing.
I then begin to laugh, softly at first then loud and angry. Garroth then states to run at Katelyn in rage. While Laurence and Dante are protecting the crowd, and telling them to leave. I stare at Garroth.
"Stop!" I scream. He stops running.
"This is my fight.. Nobody else's."
I say getting into a fight position.
Katelyn then laughs.
"Oh please.. What are you gonna do, give me a little boo boo?" She says laughing.
I sneer, but then smirk.
"Well considering I've pretty much mastered my powers, your toast" I say shooting green fire at her head.
Her eyes widen and she ducks.
(Hi! How you holding up.. Ok back to the story, btw did you get the joke? Toast..?? No?)
She laughs and looks back at me.
"Finally a real fight from Emrys"
She charges near me with her claws and cuts my arm. I laugh and jump into the air, my wings spreading out. I then dart towards her, my green sword materializing in the air. She dodged and I hit the ground. Every thing goes black. As I hear my name fading into nothingness.
