Harry's POV

"So, then Annabeth starts messing around with the grater, and she grates the skin off of her finger! It was so gross." Lucy says, chuckling at the distant memory. I go to fill my water bottle with water from the stream.
A

lmost there.

I reach the stream and try to fill my water bottle, inching closer and closer to the edge. Suddenly, my balance wavers and I fall into the stream rapids. I don't know what to do.

I can't swim!

I start to panic. I begin to flail my arms and gasp for breath. I scream the first thing that comes to mind at this moment.

Lucy.

"Lucy! Help!" I yell at the top of my lungs.

Lucy's POV

I laugh to myself after telling Annabeth's story. "I'll go get the water. Can you go collect some firewood please?" Harry asks me. "Alright, then, let's go." I say. He nods his head before we part ways. I start grabbing a few sticks. I grab a hefty log before starting to walk again. I hear a deep voice interject into the silence of the woods.

Harry.

"Lucy! Help!" I hear Harry scream.

"Harry!" I drop all the wood and go into a mad dash, heading directly towards the stream. Harry stops flailing his arms all of a sudden.

Oh no.

I jump into the stream.

"Harry, hold on! Don't give up, please!" I yell. I feel myself starting to cry, but they are being washed away with the stream water. I grab Harry's arm and start pulling him out of the water. His eyes were barely open. Harry's arm slips from my grip and I begin to panic again. "Lucy, please help." I hear him faintly whisper. "Harry, I'm trying, don't give up." I tell him once again. I grab both of Harry's arms this time. I drag him to the edge of the stream and I sit down on the ground. I begin to back up so I could pull the rest of his body onto the ground. I jump back into the water again to push the lower half of his body onto the ground. When his whole body is on the ground, I jump out of the water. "Harry? Harry, can you hear me? Please, answer me!" I say frantically. He doesn't move. I go to check his pulse. It's barely there.

Well, what do I do now?

Without another thought, I put my mouth on his in an effort to resuscitate him. When I hear him start to cough and gasp for breath again, I stop my actions. I was crying again, I knew it. I direct my attention towards Harry again.

"Harry? Harry! Are you okay? Please, be okay." I start taking to him in a much more calming voice now, hoping to get a few words out of him.

"I'm okay, Lucy, I'm okay." he finally says with a weak smile.

"Come on, I'm going to make a fire. You can come and sit near me while I start the fire he nods as I help him stand up again.

"Thank you, Lucy." he says hugging me from behind.

I turn around so I can hug him back.

"Don't mention it."

* * * *

Oh my lord, Harry almost drowned! I wasn't even planning to almost kill Harry! Anyways, the entire thought process of this chapter amazed me. I was telling my friend, Sammy, about having Harry save Lucy from certain doom because Lucy wasn't strong enough to save Harry. Sammy turns to me and says "isn't that a little sexist?" and yes, I thought it was a bit sexist. So, why not for once, we have the female lead save the male? Thus, the birth of a new chapter. Anyways, VOTE, COMMENT, AND SHARE! Lots of love!
