Natsu's Emotional Moment

(Story will end in a few chapters. I can't keep this up much longer. Sorry!)

Lucy's POV

Me and Natsu fly quickly behind Loke. "We should tell the others." I hear Natsu say. I glance at him. "Just shoot your magic in the air. They should be close by." "Ok" He points a finger behind us and shoots a giant fire ball. I roll my eyes then Loke stops, so we stop next to him. "There" Loke nods towards a cave. "There?" I ask. "Yes. If that is all then I shall take my leave." I nod. "That's all. Thanks Loke!" "Anytime princess" He bows then disappears. I look at Natsu when he growls quietly. "Natsu?" He stops then looks at me. "Nothing, nothing." I narrow my eyes at him then shrug. "If you say so." I hum quietly. "Should we wait for the others or...?" He looks at me. "Lets wait. I don't want to frighten him." "Ok" we fly down and sit in a tree. I hum quietly. "Lucy?" "Hm~?" I swing my legs back and forth. "Are you...still having nightmares?" "Occasionally. Why?" He goes silent. "Natsu?" I hop off the branch and flutter down two branches and face him. "Natsu?" His eyes were covered by his bangs. "Natsu?" I repeat again. I reach my hand out to brush his bangs away but he grabs my hand and pulls me closer.

I squeak. "N-Natsu!" He wraps his arms around my back. "I'm sorry" I hear him whisper. My eyes soften so I stop flying and sit in his lap. I brush his bangs away and see him look at me with watery eyes. "Its alright." "but I left you and you suffered for it." I smile and kiss his forehead before hugging him around his neck. "As I said, its alright. Your here now. Besides, I know you don't openly express sadness so you went on a journey to cope with...that. You're forgiven." His breath hitches and then he buries his face in my neck. I widen my eyes at the wetness going down my neck but I smile and continue petting his hair and raking my fingers through it.
