Chapter 8: Miku's Real Personlity

3rd POV

"..... Are my eyes playing tricks on me?" Rin mentally asked herself.

She rubbed her eyes in hopes that the whole scene she saw was a part of her imagination, but It clearly looked like Miku and Len kissed.

"S-Since when were they in that kind of relationship?"

"...... And more importantly, I need to take the attendance to the office... " the blonde mumbled before turning the other way, as quietly as she can so the two wouldn't notice her, while looking down on the floor.

The way she was originally planning to go was the fastest way but  If this means she can avoid "catching them in the act" then Rin would gladly go the longer way.

"Rin?"

She flinched when the sound of her name was heard. Rin literally froze for a sec before looking up slowly.

The feeling of relief filled her up once she saw who it was.

"Neru-chan!!....." Rin called out to her friend and walked over to the girl.

"Huh? What's wrong? Aren't you going to take the attendance to the office?" Neru asked when she noticed the folder in her friend's hand. "Going that way would be faster" she lifted her hand, pointing in the direction Rin was originally planning to go.

"Haha... Uhh yeah... But something is going on over there... So I'll just go this way!" Rin laughed a little, trying not to accidentally spill out what she saw. But it's Neru-chan. It should be fine if she found out right?

"What?! Is it something interesting? Let's go see!" Neru's eyes brightened with excitement as she started to move in the direction of the other two students.

Nevermind.

"No!" Rin quickly grabbed the hand of her enthusiastic friend.
"Come with me to the attendance office, Neru-chan~ Unless you're going somewhere yourself."

Neru blinked. "I went to the washroom, so sure. I'll accompany you" She smiled a little, walking back to Rin.

"Hehe thanks." The shorter girl gave a soft smile as the two walked in the opposite direction.
"Oh yeah! I still have the book I borrowed from you. Do you want it back?"

"I'll take it back when you finish reading it. It's interesting!"

Rin has been together with Neru since elementary school. She knows how excited Neru can get about things, so she didn't want her to see Miku and Len together.

Especially the kiss... If Neru saw that... She might accidentally blurt it out for the entire school to hear.

I mean, Miku Hatsune, the one who has rejected many popular guys is now going out with a first year transfer student would definitely be a huge scoop. Well, that's what the newspaper club will think.

Rin sighed in relief at the fact that she was able to avoid all that from happening. She tried to shake the thought from her head, and  continued walking, not knowing what was really going on in the other hallway.

'Well isn't this surprising! I was called out by Miku-chan. I wonder what she wants to talk about.' Len thought as he walked out of the classroom with the twintail girl.
