Len's POV
-------------
"Wow, the No.1 idol... She must be really good" I was impressed.
"All of these confessions are such a pain. I want to go home." I peeked back out at the hallway again. Miku Hatsune was walking away.
"Ah! Hurry Kagamine-kun! We're going to be late for class!" Rin-chan grabbed my hand, pulling me to class.
----------------------------------------
When we finally made it to class, we ended up being 10 minutes late. Rin-chan didn't get in that much trouble because she's usually on time. Me on the other hand got scolded, for being late on my first day.
"You're safe today because it's your first day, but don't come to class late again!" The teacher with long purple hair shouted. I thought he was a girl for a second, because of the hair. But his face and body made it clear that he's not. He's kind of scary. Well, not as scary as the mafia like old man I have as a homeroom teacher. Oh well! At least I'm safe!
The dance teacher is Mr. Gakupo. He somehow reminds me of a samurai, but it's the 21st century. There wouldn't be any samurais here. After the lecture, I walked over to an empty seat and sat down. I sighed. I don't feel like dancing.
"Why are you sighing, Kagamine?" I glanced at the person beside me. She has blonde hair that's more yellow than mine. Her hair is tied up in a long side ponytail. I know it's bad to judge people by the way they look but, the expression on her face makes her look really self-centered.
I remember her face. Maybe it's because she was one of the people who introduced themselves to me during first period. I don't remember her name though.
"Uhh... What's your name again?" I asked her. Her eye twitched.
"It's Akita! Neru Akita! You better remember it!"
I laughed a little. "Sorry Akita-san, I'm not use to remembering both first and last names." I scratched my head.
She huffed. "Well whatever, i need to ask you something." She stared at me with serious eyes. "What's your relationship with Rin?"
Lol, why is she asking me this?
I smiled. "Our relationship? We're just friends!"
"Really? You sure it's just that?" She said.
Why is she so suspicious of me?
"Yes! There's absolutely nothing going on with Rin-chan and I" I tried to convince her. Even though I'm telling the truth, I couldn't help but sweat.
Akita sighed in relief and gave me a small smile.
"I thought you were her secret twin brother that I never heard of." She whispered. "Twins separated at birth or something!"
Secret twin brother... Separated at birth... She sure has a wild imagination. A bit different from Rin-chan who's still in the fairy tale phase that most girls go through.
"Nope, sorry to disappoint you." I whispered back.
"I've been with Rin every since elementary school. She's shy and can be easily deceived by bad people! So I have to protect her."
"Oh you must really love he-"
"Hey! Akita and Kagamine, stop talking during my lesson!" Wow, I got interrupted by Mr. Gakupo. He must be good at it. I wouldn't be surprised if he holds a record for interrupting people.
Mr. Samurai sighed. "Alright, you could now socialize. But you have to practice the dance I showed you!" He walked to the classroom door and opened it. "I'll be at the music room for a while"
"He's just going to leave his students here by themselves?"
"He does this every Monday. He's probably going to see Ms. Megurine since she has a break now." Akita said.
"Mr. Gakupo likes Ms.Megurine?!" I practically shouted. Wait, I shouldn't jump to conclusions but Akita's nod made me know I was right.
"Ms. Megurine is too dense to notice but the whole class knows he has a crush on her. We silently support him." A smile appeared on her face.
I was about to say something but was interrupted by Rin-chan. "Kagamine-kun, there you are! I was wondering where you were after getting scolded." She glanced at Akita who was beside me. "Ah, I see you're with Neru-chan"
I smiled. "Yeah, we get along pretty well" I grinned at Akita and received one back. Rin-chan smiled before grabbing a chair to sit near us.
Ah! I just remembered.. "Rin-chan, you know how you said Miku Hatsune is the No. 1 idol in this school..." She tilted her head and gave me a confused expression.
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Why is she called that? Is she a really good singer or something?" I asked.
She blinked. "Ooooh.... Since you just transfered, you don't know." Rin-chan moved her chair closer to me and started to explain.
"Music schools have singing competitions against each other every year. It's a little weird, but it's kind of like when different schools compete in sports."
"A student is chosen to represent and perform for their school. Miku Hatsune has been picked last year and she won!" Akita continued.
A singing competition, huh? A smile appeared on my face. I have to admit, this is making me excited.
"Cool, how do you get picked? Do you think I can represent the school this year?" I asked them.
They both glanced at each other then back at me. Akita shook her head.
"No way. Miku Hatsune will probably be picked again since she's so popular."
Aww so disappointing. I frowned.
"But, there's a chance that the principal will hold auditions." Rin-chan said. I smiled again to what Rin-chan said. This sounds pretty fun.
Alright! I'll work hard and try to be chosen this year!
Oh
And of course, i'll still be helping Rin-chan.
