Bonnie wondered if she could ever have a normal life again. But it was impossible. Things just didn't seem right without her best friend. True, Caroline was around but she was off living her own life with Alaric and her twin daughters. Bonnie thought back to the good times when everything seemed right. ...
It was a few years ago... She had just woken up one morning for school. "School!". Present Bonnie thought. It seemed like a lifetime ago. She had everything she could have wanted. She had both of her best friends and no one was trying to kill them. Life almost seemed perfect, but maybe it was taken away for a reason?. Bonnie never knew that reason. She didn't understand why Kai would do that and make Elena die. Bonnie felt so hopeless. She was lost without Elena, Elena was more to her than a person, she was her best friend, her sister, and all the good in the world. She kept her from going dark and losing everything!.
... (Flashback:)- It was just a normal day in Mystic Falls, the sun was shining and all seemed okay. ... Bonnie had just woken up, it was early and time to get ready for school. She didn't care for it much but seeing Elena and Caroline, her best friends always made her day better. ... Her phone rang, Bonnie looked to see who it was. It was Elena. Bonnie groggily answered. "Hmmm". "Wake up sleepy head". Elena's happily voice said. "Hmmm, it's too early". Bonnie groaned. "Bonnie". Elena laughed. Bonnie instantly smiled. Elena's happy voice and laugh could make anyone smile, no matter how bad of a day they had. It was contagious... But she sure loved it. "Alright I'm half awake". Bonnie laughed. "Good". Elena happily said back. "Now on for more pressing matters". Elena Gilbert added. "Oh, do I even want to know?". Bonnie said back. "It's Mystic Falls". Elena laughed. Bonnie laughed with her. She put her on speaker and went about her morning. That was always the best part of her morning was Elena's wake-up calls. ....
(Flashback Ended)... She sure missed it. ... Bonnie wondered what Elena would say if she was here right now, would she be proud of her for living her life or would she be angry for not saving her?... Why did all the light have to fade from her dark world?. ... Bonnie sighed and looked at the clock on her phone. It was 2am and she went back to sleep, at least in her dreams everything was right where it was suppose to be. ...
