"Here Sophie." Clay handed me an old white baseball tee with black sleeves and black pocket.
"That’s going to be see-through." Bianca laughed, tossing me a pair of soffees to put on.
"Well unlike someone I don’t carry around a bathing suit in my purse." I teased,
"Two of them," Avery opened the jeep door to reveal herself in a bikini of Bee’s.
"Not three?" I hoped.
"Why would I carry around three? Now that would be weird." She stood on front of the jeep door so I could change; I left my tank top on underneath Clay’s shirt so it wouldn’t be see-through.
I walked down to the dock and sat in the edge, watching Cameron and Avery sit at the edge of the water, the waves washing up over them. Bee had swum out to the buoy, racing her guy friend… Aidan? I think…
"It’s not actually white, it’s kind of an off white so I don’t think it’ll be too bad," Clay laughed, crouching down next to me in his trunks.
"The waters really cold." I smiled up at him, taking in his beautiful eyes again.
"Come on, we can go in together." He smiled at me and hopped in, his feet touching the bottom with the top of his chest never getting wet. He held out his hands to me, I closed my eyes and took them as he pulled me off the dock and into the water.
"Oh my gosh!" I splashed around for a minute before I got used to the water.
"See! It’s not that bad!" He laughed, splashing water in my face.
"You did not just do that!" I splashed him back, and the water war started.
"AVERY! BEE! HELP ME!" I screeched, kicking my feet at Clay, who was laughing hysterically.
"RAH!" Avie jumped on his back and pulled him backwards into the water. He came back up and threw her into the water, not hard enough to hurt her.
"You don’t want me to get into this because you will bleed." Bee smirked, but he dunked her anyway.
The war continued until 11:30, the guys joined in and by then we were all tuckered out.
"Did anyone think about towels?" Aidan asked, wrapping his arms around Bee, making her smile.
"I don’t suppose you carry those around in your purse too?" Cameron chuckled.
"Not funny." Bee glared, but couldn’t help laughing.
"Well boys, I’ve got a two seat truck and I don’t think ya’ll want to sit in the back being wet and all." Clay ran his hands through his hair shaking water all over me.
"Thank you so much." I smiled up at him sarcastically.
"Avie can drive." Cameron smiled at her, "She can take the rest of us home."
"That works. Soph you can ride with me." Clay looked down at me; I nodded and climbed into his Titan.
"Heater!" I whined playfully as he turned on the truck.
"It’s April, how on earth are you cold?" he flicked on the heater and reached down under my feet, "Put this on." He handed me his Letter-Man jacket.
"Thanks."
He turned the radio on,
"Oh I LOVE this song!" I giggled.
"Out in the backwoods, down in the holler, out in the backwoods, workin’ hard for a dollar, In the backwoods, where we get it done right! Work hard, play hard, hold my baby tight, Lordy have mercy it’s a real good night in the backwoods!"
