ai Luo Yin pulled himself off of the warn down couch slowly. He had no energy, and as he attempted to pull himself up, his body ached and shot painful feelings through his muscles.

The blinds were pushed apart, exposing the dark sky and bringing spots of moon light on the floor. The electricity still did not work, but judging by the dark sky, Bai Luo Yin could easily determine it was late in the night.

Usually, Bai Luo Yin slept through the night peacefully as he was surrounded by Gu Hai's warm embrace. But this night, he slept alone and the room felt cold without his lover. He tossed and turned, stretched his arms out in hopes that his finger tips would brush against Gu Hai's skin. However, each time his arms would stretch, his finger tips would be met with the cold air and perhaps even the couch. The feeling that was in his heart in those moments were utter desperation. He longed to be with Gu Hai again. No matter how cold or harsh Bai Luo Yin had the tendency to be, his heart could be softened like cotton for Gu Hai.

The feeling of loneliness forced Bai Luo Yin off of the couch, and interrupted his rest. He stood in the middle of the room for several seconds listening to the silence. It had been silent for so long, even on the roof, the streets below were eerily silent. Could it really be that Gu Hai was not alive? If he were still alive, and if he were surely looking, he would some how make himself known. He would some how...

Bai Luo Yin exited the apartment, and roamed the halls aimlessly. The halls were dark and cold, from the lack of heating. Every step that Bai Luo Yin took he turned to his left or right and opened an apartment door. Each apartment that was vacant seemed to have been emptied out quickly, as if those in it were rushed out quickly. The furniture was knocked over, clothes thrown on the ground in a clear rush.

Bai Luo Yin picked up clothes and looked at it, trying to understand who was living here. Most homes he would find small items of clothing, and some how his heart would feel slightly more regret. He didn't know where the others were but he could only hope they were some where safe.

Bai Luo Yin continued to walk for hours, until eventually the day time came. He had made it to the fourth floor, but that's as low as he could go, and then he walked back up.

When he got onto the correct floor, he entered the apartment, and took in a deep breath, inhaling the delicious smell of soup. His stomach growled as he walked, but now his stomach was numb from the feeling of hunger. However when he smelled the soup, all the hunger filled his stomach again.

He took several bowls and set them on the wooden table, already falling into his role here. He knew that if he were going to be taken in, and fed, he would have to assist in anyone possible.

"Oh, there you are," The woman said.

She carried a pot of soup in the living room, and placed it in the center of the table. Steam filled the air that surrounded the pot, proving itself to be freshly made.

"I was worried sick when I woke this morning to find that you were gone," She signaled for Bai Luo Yin to sit, and his feet immediately moved to the table. The hunger was controlling him at this point. His feet moved him without giving him as much of a choice.

"Many people are vulnerable in times like these, and there are sick people who take advantage of that vulnerability. That watch that you are wearing... Your sneakers... It's clear to us all that you've come from a wealthy place. Many people will steal from you and hurt you."

Bai Luo Yin sucked in his lips, then pulled the watch off of his wrist. He held it in his hands, walked over to the couch and placed it under the cushion. He understood that she was correct, even though he wasn't wealthy Gu Hai was. Gu Hai paid for those things and gave it to him, but none the less... He was still exposed to danger if he wore it.

"Come and eat, you need your energy. "

Bai Luo Yin brought bowls of soup to everyone that was left behind in the building. Each person exploded with gratitude and said many words of praise to the both of them.

Not many people had the means to fresh and warm soup, making it very appreciated now that they had it. And Bai Luo Yin was glad to be giving it to them, but truthfully, he couldn't bring himself to stay on this building for much longer.

He had to go down and look for Gu Hai in anyway that he could. He was merely wasting his time here despite this being the safest place for him and he worried he may not have much more time. Gu Hai could be possibly anywhere, perhaps taking his last breaths. Bai Luo Yin knew he had to find him before that moment, despite knowing what would happen if he did. But he did know that if Gu Hai was hurt, or if Gu Hai were to die... He needed to be with him then. He wanted to be with him then.

So he would find any way to get to Gu Hai, as Gu Hai had done anything necessary for him.
