Chapter 9

Once I'm done getting ready I look at myself in the mirror. I'm wearing black skinny jeans white shoes and a sweater with a small shoulder bag. Simple nothing to fancy since we are just going to the movies and somewhere to eat.

After that I lay on my bed on my phone just waiting for Luke. I'm a little nervous...

An hour later I get a text from Luke "hey I'm outside :-)" it says. I spray perfume on myself and put a piece of gum in my mouth. "Hey um Mrs. Clifford I'm going out with Luke I'll be back later on okay?" Making sure it's fine with her. She smiles at me and nods.

I smile back and head out the door. I take a deep breathe in and out. And walk into his car. "Hey Violet." He says with a smile. "Hi" I reply back shyly. We then make our way to the movies.

"You like Blink?" He asks. "Of course! They are amazing. Play them." I said. He then puts on Blink-182. And he starts singing them I join in but softly.

Once we get to the movies we decide to watch The Conjuring. Luke wouldn't let me buy my own ticket. "Violet seriously it's fine. I asked you out so I'm paying." He says with a smirk and then giving the cashier his card. "I'm paying for food then!" I say fast running into the theater to the stand to get us popcorn and drinks.

"Beat you HA!" I say loud at the last part. He rolls his eyes. I laugh "here's your cup get your drink." I said passing him his cup. "Thank you again" i tell the lady working the stand. I go and get my drink and put butter on the popcorn. And some salt on the side.

Once we get to our seats I noticed how it wasn't that crowded. "Do you like salt on the popcorn?" I ask. "Yeah ha." He chuckles. I then put salt on the popcorn not a lot.

Michaels POV

Man I'm hungry. I decide to get out of bed and go get something to eat. I head downstairs meeting my mum. "Hey mum, is food ready?" I asked. "Yup it's on the stove." He replies eating. I walk over and serve myself and sit down with my mum.

"Where is dad" I asked taking a bite of my food. "He went into work. Just some extra shifts." She answered back. "What about Violet?" I asked eating. "She went out with Luke." She replies with a smile. I sit up straight. What?

Did she just say what I think she said? Out with Luke? "Where to?" I asked a little angrily. My mother looks at me a little confused. "She went to the movies and out to eat with him why?" She said looking directly at me. "I'm just asking damn." Taking a big bite of my food.

What the hell is going on with them. I take out my phone. "Michael don't text them. Leave them alone. Don't get mad they didn't invite you. It's probably a date anyways." She said putting her dishes in the sink. That made me mad.

And I don't get why. Why am I mad?

I ignore her and decide to text Luke. "Hey Luke lets hangout now." I sent.

Violets POV

That movie was scary but not to much. "Did you like it?" I asked Luke throwing away our trash. "It was alright haha." He said putting his hands in his pockets. I nod. He then starts to text somebody. What?

I try and not let that bother me but he just keeps texting on the way back to the car. When we get inside the car he still is texting not even starting the car.

After 10 minutes. He finally puts his phone away and starts the car without a word. What is going on?
