Everyone was slightly freaking out, all except Sky, Barney, and Ross mostly. Max looked at them, surprised at their ease amongst the panic.
"Why are you guys fine with this?"
Sky was scanning the area while Barney was debating between which stick would be best as a weapon. Ross replied for them.
"We've been here before, a long time ago. It's a zombie apocalyptic dystopia! It's pretty much like a video game. 'Member Jin?"
Jin nodded, recalling the situation.
"If I'm correct, however, you did tell us that two others did try to kill you. Barney, didn't you say one looked like Jess or Sky?"
Barney picked up a log and smashed to the ground.
"Dangs it, hollow. Huh? Yeah, they tried tos kill Ross. Apparently, the other one shot me?"
Sky spoke up after noting a clear perimeter.
"Either way, we need to find the house or machine or something to sleep in. Jin, how long before you think you can land a track on that machine?"
Jin started typing and swiping things on his device.
"The signal will have to reconstruct this dimension and time. All in all, without actually finding the machine, at least 2-3 moths."
Max widened his eyes.
"You're telling me that we are trapped in a zombie apocalypse world that could be reset at any moment?"
Jin shook his head.
"We aren't trapped, the estimate is rough anyways. Besides, we won't live to see the reset. The time is accurate, 2016 years before the world reset. Trust me, it'll be fine."
Red stood tall, knowing that all things had a proper order and to survive, it had to be planned.
"So, we need to assign roles, right?"
Shelby turned to him.
"What are talking about?"
"Roles. Roughly being here means both less or more than 2 or 3 months. We have to plan this kind of stuff out. We'll need a leader, scavengers, someone to defend us, and someone who can talk stuff out. We're bound to meet someone in 1 month, let alone 3."
Sky nodded his head.
"Alright, let's take some votes, then."
Jess raised her hand.
"I vote Sky and Max as leaders."
Jin nodded as did Shelby and Ross. Sky looked at Max.
"I was going to vote for you any ways."
Max nodded and raised his hand.
"I vote Red and Ross as scavengers."
Ross was surprised as almost every hand went up, except Sky's.
"Why me?"
Red smiled.
"I've been told when you freak out, you instantly find a weapon or just plain incapacitate your enemy."
Ross looked bashful.
"Well, I get scared easy and that's my first instinct."
"And that's why I would be grateful to have you with me. You're a bit stronger than most think."
Ross smiled and nodded. He then raised his hand.
"I vote Barney as a defender."
Red raised his hand.
"And I vote Shelby, too."
Shelby nodded pulling out her gun. Barney finally found a strong enough log and held it over his shoulder, smiling. Jess spoke up.
"And what about me and Jin?"
Max pointed at them, Jess then Jin.
"Peacekeeper, You are working on getting us home."
They both nodded. Sky stood with confidence, always being a good leader.
"Then let's find some shelter, and don't go to far from the group. Spread, but don't spate, any weird noises stay quiet and retreat to the center of the group. Anyone sees someone move to the center of the group, follow example and grab a leader or defender. And Ross, do not attack without a say so, okay?"
Ross nodded. Max pulled out his own gun and nodded to Sky. They were on the look out for shelter.

Remember, Max and Shelby are secret agents, why wouldn't they have guns on them at all times? Hope you enjoyed! Sorry it's short, but the thing keeps saying it's down and I don't want to lose a bunch of work. Any who
