Evil At Night

*recap*
That night is when the nightmares began.

*The Nightmare*
I opened my eyes to find myself in a long hallway. It felt vaguely familiar though I don't remember ever being here once in my life.

Something about it made me feel a certain eeriness, as if there was an unwanted presence. Something caught my attention ahead of me while I was looking around.

When I look up I notice a lantern like thing near the end of the hallway so I head towards it.

When I get about 5 foot from it, it dashes around the corner which I had no clue was there because I was staring at the light so intently.

I followed the light around afew more nooks and crannies,when I realized, the hallway was getting thinner and thinner. If I moved over to the left or right now, I would hit the walls for sure. Looking ahead I let the light go a little farther so I could see if I would get stuck. It appeared to stay the same so I continued after the light.

I felt something staring at me. Something not safe. Something evil. I turn around quickly as an involuntary reaction, I would have turned slower but I was anxious for some reason.

When I turned around is when I saw him. The grayish, blackish skin like substance on his body, the wrinkled texture of it, the wretched smell, and the eyes that were huge and solid black with no pupil or iris.

I stared at it for a second then screamed and ran. Following the light which looked like something good until we came to the end of the hallway, for me. I was stuck in the wall and the creature seemed invincible as it made it's way through the hallway. It was very wide but not hitting the wall once. I looked up to see the light going that way, then I saw what it had to show me.

Up on the wall were words which seemed to be written in blood. Slowly I realize it's the numbers- I scream before I can see them and the monster grabs my back and scratches at it.

That's when i'm shooken awake by mom asking me if i'm okay. "Yes mom it was just a nightmare." I told her though my back hurt bad. I look at the time to see it's 8:45. "Mom I over slept! I need to get to school!" "No Hailey you're staying home today you feel really warm, do you feel alright? Let me take your temperature." when she finished taking my temperature we found out it was 101.4° Fahrenheit. I'm not going to school today. "I have to go at noon but your fathers here okay?" "Yes mom, I love you."

My back felt wet so I figured it was sweat but it hurt so I went to the bathroom to look at it. When I saw it I gasped in surprise. What I found was not a sight.

My back had four scratches down it covered in blood.
