"Do we really have to go to Kingston?" I asked Edward as we boarded the Jackdaw even though I already knew the answer.
"Aye, we need to find the Sage."
"But why? Why are you so set on finding this guy? And what the hell is this Observatory you keep talking about?" I honestly wouldn't be asking but I really don't want to go to Kingston.
"The Observatory is like a device that can follow people around and see what they were doing, and the Sage is the only person that can get in and knows its location." He said taking the helm. "When I get it and sell it, I'll be set for life."
"Sell it? Why would you want to sell something that can tell what everyone was doing? Sell that to the wrong person and everyone is fucked."
"That's why you don't sell it to the wrong person," he said then started barking orders to the crew. "Why don't you want to go to Kingston?"
I sighed and thought of something to say. "I just don't." That was the only thing I could come up with at the time and Edward knew that there was more to me not wanting to go to Kingston.
"Does it have something to do with your son?" he asked making my eyes go wide. He did listen to me and remembered that I said he was in Kingston.
"Yeah kinda. That and all of the demons from my past lurking in the shadows of every corner and every alley way." I answered and looked out over the sea. I guess I better get ready to face the music because we're going to Kingston. No matter what I say.

We docked in Kingston and Edward, Ade and I made our way to where Torres was with Princ. "Here's how it goes. Torres meets with Princ carrying a portion of the ransom, saying he is close behind. When we see the Sage, you bring in the rest of the gold, make the swap and get out. I'll be watching from close by."
"No, Kenway. You run this scheme alone, at the risk of losing the faith of your crew. It makes me ill to think of you bartering with that wretched slavery." Ade said with a very good point.
"Come on, mate. Fine, Aurora you take Ades place. Once we have the Sage, we'll all be rich." Edward said a little angrily.
"Not if young master Kidd gets to him first," Ade said looking passed Edward and causing me to look as well.
"Kidd?" Edward then turned around. "Jaysus, that lads here to kill him." Then he turned back to me "Follow from the roofs and trees." I nodded and he walked to Kidd.
I ran and climbed up the side of a building to the roof and waited for Torres and Princ to move forward. I jumped from rooftop to rooftop and from tree to tree while Edward and Kidd followed from the ground. Always give me the hard jobs. I thought to myself when the two finally came to a stop. "Here's a quiet spot. I'll see the money." Said Princ as he looked toward where Edward and Kidd crouched in a nearby bush. Shit. He knows they're there. But not me.
Torres pulled out a money pouch to give to him. "This is a portion of the ransom. The rest is close at hand," he said as Princ took the pouch.
"It pains me to traffic a man of my own race for profit, Mister Torres. Tell me again... what has this Roberts fellow done to upset you?"
"Is this some form of Protestant piety I'm not familiar with?" Torres asked with an amused look on his face.
Princ stood there for a minute then tossed the money back to Torres. "Perhaps another day?"
"What?"
"Next time, see to it we are not followed." He points to the bush "Deal with this!" he shouts and walks away as three brutes ran down ready to attack. Edward and Kidd emerged from the bush, Edward looking extremely cocky and Kidd looking angry.
