Hey guys, sorry its been awhile I know... Bare with me on this story, I love writing it and I love Edward but I have times when I think everything I do is shit. When I have those days I tend to not do anything and feel sorry for myself. I know i shouldn't do it but I do.
So in that note, ill try to get better at loving myself and Wright. Anyway here is the next part I hope you guys like it.
It wasn't long after Edward and I left the cemetery that Kidd sent word that he had found the Sage. This time after Edward and I kissed, it wasn't that awkward as before. It seemed as the two of us was harming up to one another and starting to like the idea of us together more than apart. Together we made our way to where Kidd had said to meet and we climbed the side of the building and onto the roof to find Kidd waiting. "Wouldn't you prefer meeting at a pub?" Edward asked as he set down beside Kidd and I beside him.
"I came to Kingston chasing a target. Gettin' pissed ain't a priority," he said and looked over to the two of us with a smug smile. "You two look cozy," he said and I blushed some. "I knew the two of you would get together before all this was over."
"We're not together," I said to him then looked to Edward who wore a smile. "What the hell are we doing on a roof anyway?" I asked.
"We're scouting out the place," Kidd answered.
"No, you're scouting the place. I'm just setting here." I said but Kidd and Edward both either didn't hear me or they ignored me.
"We could work together on this, you know. It's Laurens Princ you're after, and I want his prisoner." Edward said to Kidd.
"We're after the sage as well, Edward. Careful who you cross."Kidd said back and I just rolled my eyes. These two are always at each other's throat on something. Here I am helping Edward get this guy I don't care about, just to get to a place I don't care about.
"May the best man win," Edward said and looked out over the property.
"There are guards patrolling that property from end to end. Looks like they use bells to signal trouble." Kidd said he started to rub dirt on his face and cut his thumb putting blood on his mouth. "We'll want to disable those before pushin' too far. With so many men about, we can't rely on stealth alone. So... I'll do what I can distract and draw their attention, givin' you and Aurora time to cut 'em down." Kidd finished.
"I'll follow in the trees, same as before," I said and looked over to Edward and Kidd.
"Ready?" Kidd asked us. Edward was shocked and I just there watching his reaction to Kidd finally revealing that he was really a she.
"Your name's not James is it?" Edward asked and I snickered.
"Not most days. Come on." Kidd said as she stood and jumped off the roof into a hay stack.
Edward looked at me "I'm guessing by the look on your face you knew?" he asked.
"Of course I did. Honestly, I can't believe you never realized it." I said and stood, then following Kidd's actions. I ran through the bushes dodging guards and claimed the tree to watch over Kidd and Edward. I watched as Kidd fooled two guards into thinking that she was hurt to get the gate opened and kill one with her hidden blade and the other with the first guard's sword.
I spotted Edward running from bush to bush and saw he was headed straight for an ambush of guards that he couldn't take out without them seeing him. I pulled out my dart shooter Edward gave me and loaded it with poison darts. I shot two guards and Edward took out the other two. I jumped to the next tree branch over and made my way to the tree near him. I looked up and saw Kidd kill a man then pull him into the hay stack, maybe I should join the assassins but I had to find my sons murderer first before I did anything.
