Nine – Angry All the Time

I just googled what causes period pains and apparently it’s because the uterus contracts and that cuts off the fucking blood supply. People with period pains are literally feeling their uterus trying to kill itself.

Hello yes 911 this is an emergency

my uterus is trying to kill itself.

Hang on, not 911, that’s only in movies, right? I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to call triple zero.

I moan and roll over, clutching my lower stomach, letting out a few pathetic whimpers as my abdomen seizes up in pain.

“Diana? Sweetie, are you alright?” the soft voice of one of the nurses queries from behind me. I make a noise, something between a sigh and a whimper, and curl in on myself further.

I start counting the cracks in the plaster, trying to get my mind off the pain in my stomach, and the nurse sighs, retreating from the room for a few blessed minutes before returning with a male doctor and a heat pack.

When she extends it towards me, it takes everything in me to not reach out and snatch it from her, but instead to except it nicely and shove it under my shirt, bringing it as close to my stomach as possible.

The nurse makes sympathetic noises, knowing what kind of awful pain I’m being subjected to, whereas the doctor just rolls his eyes and mutters something about all females being so overdramatic and angry while on their periods.

Why do men think women are angry just on their period?

I’m angry all the time. Get the fuck away from me.
