The soothing feeling of fingers brushing up and down your arm caused you to stir and shift in the bed, and as your eyes fluttered open you realised where you were; a hotel room bed with Simon, some time late morning, and you also realised that you hadn't moved all night. You turned over to a shirtless Simon, a sight that you took a few moments to appreciate in the bright day light, your bare legs brushing against his causing sparks in your body.
"It was nice to wake up to you still being here, last time we went to bed together I woke up alone" he said, referring back to Vegas
"I tried to leave, but you had a death grip on me so tight that I passed out and couldn't escape" you replied, smirking at him as he stopped stroking your arm and pouted at you, his blue puppy dog eyes, puffed out lips and his bed hair made him look far too adorable for your liking.
"Okay, okay, I wanted to stay the whole time" you said, retracting your previous statement
"That's what I thought" he said, a big smile lighting up the entirety of his face
"So, our plans last night didn't happen" you said, brushing his hair up with your fingers
"You sound disappointed" his tone sounding slightly hurt
"Oh yeahhhh, I'm totalllllyyy upset that I got an incredible night sleep intwined with a gorgeous man I have feelings for" your sarcasm levels couldn't have been higher and you started to laugh at yourself, but Simon was just staring at you in a way you didn't understand
"What?" you said worriedly
"You have feelings for me?" he said, the words making you instantly nervous as they slid out of his mouth, causing you to blush and break eye contact and look anywhere but at him
"Well...like...urm...I mean......." you stammered out, unable to control the dribble of words that were forming with your thoughts racing through your head
"....yes, I don't know what feelings, but feelings" finally came out of your mouth as you turned red with embarrassment and a silence and awkwardness filled the room. It was the truth though, you didn't know what you felt exactly, but it was something, but you didn't mean to say it.
"Don't be embarrassed, I feel something too" he said quietly, both of you blushing at each other and unable to hold eye contact for a few minutes.

You had to change the topic, it was far too much for your mind to deal with and it needed an escape.
"So what are we doing today?" you said to him as you got out from under the covers and stood up from the bed
"My first thought is breakfast... or lunch... not sure which, but some kind of food" he pointed to the room service menu on the desk. Walking across the room and grabbing it you could see Simon staring at the back of you in the mirror next to you, it made you weirdly happy, which was unusual for you. You were usually very self conscious, but for some reason he made you feel completely calm, like he'd seen you in just a t-shirt millions of times before.
"Ooooh, they have waffles" you say, like a child looking at a desert menu
"I would love waffles" came from the tall thin boy who hadn't moved from the bed, followed by a very large yawn
"Waffles it is and I think I want a milkshake" you said, not seeing them on the menu, but hoping that they could be made
"A milkshake as well?" he questioned sleepily and you suddenly felt as though he was judging you for having an appetite and started to panic, eating in front of other people you weren't totally comfortable around was always a stressful occurance for you
"or maybe not..." you said quietly, feeling embarrassed
"You should get one, I will be! I didn't even know they did milkshakes" he said smiling moving so he was sitting in the bed with his back against the headboard and legs out in front of him, the panic draining out of your body quickly
You ran back to the bed and jumped on it, scurrying up from the bottom and sitting on top of him, legs on either side of his as you once again brushed his hair through your fingers, his eyes shutting in comfort. You grabbed the phone from the side table without moving off of the bean pole of a man and ordered your breakfast. Hanging up and returning to running your fingers through his hair as he pulled you in closer, you only slid off him only once food arrived at the door to collect it.

After breakfast the two of you just laid in bed talking - about everything, the Sidemen, your families, your weirdest moments, your first kisses, your least favourite subjects in school and laughing endlessly at each others embarrassing life stories. Suddenly, he leant up his body on one arm, leant close to you and kissed the side of your head near your temple, his soft lips warm against your skin, leaving you staring into his eyes and studying every part of his face; the light coloured stubble on his chin, his jawline that was perfectly symmetrical to his cheekbones, down to his soft lips, spread apart to reveal his bright toothy smile that could light up the world.
"We should do something" you said as you turned to face him, nuzzling your head into the front of his chest and under his chin
"I mean, as much as I like laying in bed with you, it would be nice to get out and get some non-vegas, daytime air today" you said up to his chin, kissing the the middle and side of his neck as you nuzzled yourself back into him.
"Well seeing as how you've never been here I have the perfect idea - so let's do it" he replied kissing your forehead
"Shotgun first shower!" you yelled as your tried to jump up and away from the bed, only for Simon to catch your leg pull you back towards the ground as you tipped to the floor and he was pulled across the bed and down onto you
"You wish!" he said
"I said shotgun - and otherwise no more kisses for you" you replied covering your lips with your hands
"Well that's just not fair"  he replied back to you, sticking his tongue out, "but fine, you first"

Once in the bathroom it hit you what was happening - you were about to have your first official date with Simon.
