Author’s Note: I just want to dedicate this chapter to Fareesa (MariaKhan6)! Her messages were so sweet. I love how she’s into supernatural stories but suddenly found herself into my story – which relaxed her and “brought her back to reality.” Thank you! :)

Every one of you is actually so nice of me, even though I don’t deserve it ‘cause I don’t update frequently. So, thanks a lot for staying and reading. Can’t believe some people spend their time reading this. x

Hazy.  Chapter Six.

“I’ll do it. I’ll do the bet.”

My mind was clouded but I kept my stare straight to the five girls in front of me. They all seemed shock to see me but they remained silent, a rush of panic evident on their faces.

They looked like a bunch of scolded three-year olds. Like they were suddenly caught eating cookies which they stole in the cookie jar without their mother’s permission – clueless on what to do or what to say next.

I stood still, because a force of movement seemed inappropriately awkward upon the situation but Hannah moved forward, inching two steps toward me – gauging the sincerity of what I said. She seemed... annoyed? Bored by the outcome of the events?

Like she was expecting it.

Like she was anticipating me.

“You heard everything?” Hannah drawled.

“Yes.” I nodded.

“Yes, I heard everything.”

“Well, that’s good to hear.” Her eyelashes fluttered downwards, staring at my shoes which were white keds that’s gotten so dirty because of the unusual rain and mud. She stared down and then back at my expressionless face.

“Oh my god, Jamie! What about Austin? He’ll be soooo mad if he finds out!” Jessica blabbed, her full red lips looked like they were exaggerating an ‘o’ in her mouth.

Hannah shrugged and waved a hand towards the girls, as if it’s a cue to stop talking.

“They broke up.” Hannah smirked, her eyes never leaving my figure.

“Jamie and Austin broke up yesterday.” She announced again, receiving gasps and murmurs on her back.
