Chapter 18

Tris POV:

I did it! I actually got to speak to him! Although he didn't say anything back.. I didn't give him any time to say anything.. But I heard someone coming down the corridor, and knew it was piper, and I didn't want it to get messy so I left.. Was that wrong?

But I did tell him he can talk to me if he forgives me..
And he only has two weeks to tell me, because I am planning on leaving to check out this Grenette, and God knows when I'll be back. Maybe never?

But I have it all planned out...

If he comes to see me:

He says he forgives me, I ask if we can be friends, hopefully he'll say yes, I won't leave for Grenette just yet, and hopefully Peter realises that I'm better than that b***** ☺️😏, and I know how horrid that sounds, but I can't lose my teddy bear..

If he doesn't:

I will leave and go to Grenette, mourn over how much I miss Peter and that I will never find anyone else.. And then bring out a gun and shoot myself.

** 5 days later **

Peter hasn't talked to me, although he has smiled and waved, but it was a sad smile.

I start to doubt he will ever come and talk to me.

And I start to doubt that my life won't last longer than a couple of weeks...

As I walk to meet Dave to ask him if I can leave to go to Grenette, I over hear Piper talking to someone.

I try to just leave but my sneaky nosey side of me overpowers me and I find myself hiding behind the wall.

"I can't believe she is actually going to ruin my life!! What have I ever done to her!"
"Well,--"
"Shut up! But, guess what.."
"What?" The other girl says,
"I found an engagement ring in his pocket when he was fast asleep,"
"Why were you going through his pockets?" The voice sounds familiar,
"Well... I don't know!! We can't keep secrets from each other, plus it helps me find out things about him. " she laughs, " God, it's so funny how Peter actually thinks we share things in common! I mean, I found out he likes to be called 'teddy bear' which tris used to call him, sooo.. I started calling him teddy bear! It's such a weird nickname? Like, seriously, teddy bear? What's the meaning behind that??"
The other girl laughs, "so why exactly did you come over here, again?.."
"Hail, I need to ask you, being my bff and all, to help do a favour, to do with tris..."
Whatt????????
"Sure! Anything to possibly keep them two away from each other, God it was sickly when they were together in amity! I remember getting so fed up , I actually called Eric and the rest of dauntless that tris and Peter were hiding there!" Hail.

Hail. The girl I stayed with. The girl I called my best friend. Is a traitor.

And then it hits me.

She wasn't protecting me when she didn't let me help save Peter..

She was separating us from each other.

My best friend is the reason why me and Peter are no longer together and he hates me..

"Omg! I can't believe you did that! That's sooo funny!! Anyway, I need you to give tris this." She hands hail a note,
"It says: Tris, since you came and spoke to me, I feel like you are trying to get in between me and Piper. I don't want to get back with you, so all I'm asking is that you leave us alone, or I will not hesitate to kill you myself.  Peter."
