Chapter 19

Piper.

It's piper.

"What do you want?" I grumble,
I'm so tired,
"Well, good morning grumpy!"
I ignore her, " did Hail come talk to you?"
"Yes. And I know you know everything, but I came here to say, your plan failed," she laughs, "you will never get him back, he's mine, forever."

As she says that, she shows her hand to my face. The ring reflects the light into my eyes.

Who would of thought a ring could kill you.

I stand there, speechless, trying to conjure up something, anything, to say..
But my lips just quiver and nothing audible comes out, except non-human murmurs.
Piper smirks at me and walks away, leaving me alone at the door.

How did he know it was me? Did piper change it?

Oh well, it's too late now.

For weeks all I hear is everyone gossiping about how big their wedding will be, and how big the ring is, and who's gonna be maid of honour.
I thought it couldn't get any worse after Dave said I couldn't leave yet, as it's not ready, so I have to wait 3 months. He also said, " but, at least you'll be here for Peter and Pipers wedding!"

Great. I kept saying to myself, 'oh god, nothing will make this worse.'
I was wrong.

I decided, I will try and say congratulations to Peter but as I walked over to him when he was working, he waved a small wave and came over to me instead. He pulled me to a corner.

I looked straight into his eyes, the smell of cologne present on him, he looked down at me, I couldn't help but look at those lips, I so badly wanted him to kiss me and tell me something good,

He opened his mouth, my hope rose,
"I need you to stay away from me, do not wave or smile, do not look at me, just get on with your life, I can get someone to take you to Grenette. Tris, don't mess this up for me, you already messed up my feelings, you will not mess up my wedding. Piper won't hurt me, unlike you. If you try and trick me again, I will make you be thrown out and taken back to dauntless. Goodbye, tris."

He huffed and walked away,

Again, my lips quivered and I tried to hold back the tears. But I couldn't, and soon, I was on the floor in a pool of tears, I couldn't breathe, nor stop crying. After all my tears were let out, I went into a fit. My breathes weren't slow, I tried to breathe out, but I couldn't stop.

I have no one;

Peters found someone else.

Heck knows where four and Christina are.

My parents are dead, along with my traitor brother who's God knows where.

Everyone in Chicago want me dead.

The only person is Dave.

I sigh and wipe my tears from my face and sort out my skirt. I walk towards Dave, not caring if I have makeup under my eyes. I walk into the main 'office' and see him sitting, waiting.

I take a seat and he looks at me,
"I found this:" he presses play,

I watch my tv-self walk into peters room, but then I notice piper down the hall, with tears down her face, she looks sad. Well obviously, I mean, good.
"Tris, you are incredibly useful for this project, but Piper is my daughter. If you are screwing with her life, I want you to leave. Unfortunately for me, piper and my soon to be son in law, you will have to leave in 2 months time. But, till then, stay away from them two. That is all."
I rise from my seat, my eyes don't reach his, I flare my nostrils and finally stare into his eyes,
"I hope that b**** piper has a wonderful  life!" I emphasise on wonderful, " oh! And! My exit ticket!"
