Imagine being at a local fair, ah how much you enjoyed them. It was a beautiful summer night, no too hot yet not too cold as I could say. You decided you and your friends would all go as one and spend time together while you were vacationing in Florida. Little did you know who'd you meet on the way.
You were letting your friend Anne play games with her boyfriend and have the time of their lives, so you were left alone around the fair. You went to a stand and got cotton candy, feeling when you picked some of the goodness off, someone had their eye on you. You smiled as you spotted John.
Who's John? You may be asking yourself that. John is a good friend of yours who would always tease you. He moved from Liverpool down to Florida a couple of years ago with his aunt, wanting "more warmth." You knew you liked John, but you and him being from WAY different parts and social classes made you hold back.
"Ah Miss y/n." He smiles, taking some of your cotton candy.
You smiled your pearly whites, "Well nice to see you too John."
"Makes me living here a better place having you around." He winks.
You playfully slap his arm, "Oh John, do you use that on every girl?"
John gasps with a smile, "Only on you. Now come on, let's get out of here."
"Why?" You whine.
John looks into your e/c eyes, "Just trust me. You'll love this."

The two of you proceeded walking down the street, guessing it was almost two in the morning. He held your hand as you made your way to an empty road with the traffic lights changing colors. Soothing yet mysterious why John would take you here.
"John what are we doing?" You ask, feeling that your heart was beating faster.
John looks back at you, "I never got the chance like other boys."
"John what are you talking about?"
lI never got the chance to take you out on a date. I mean...I'm not like other boys you've been around. Those boys can take you to nice places and dance in those fancy places. I-I'm not rich and can eat those shrimp cocktails, I can't take you to nice places. But you can do something for me."
John takes your hand, "Dance with me."
"In the street?" You gasp.
He nods, "Y/n. You gotta trust me."
"What if a car comes?"
"Y/n, who's gonna be driving at two o'clock in the morning?"
You didn't protest any longer. You took John's hand smiling.
So there you were, John holding you slow dancing in the middle of a street. You knew you were in love and couldn't deny any longer. You swayed for awhile, until John looked at you. John pressed his lips against yours, bringing such happiness to the both of you.
"I love you." John whispers.
"I love you too."
A/N: Yes this was based off The Notebook. I didn't go with the whole scene from the fair cause too much for meh. Anyways I hope you liked it! :)
