I Think I'm Coal.

While driving Andre home he tells me his plans for tonight. "So, I'm going to pack some bags tonight since my parents left for a business trip last night. I don't like to be alone in a house so you know. I kind of wanted to... you know... stay with you. It's only for four days, and I totally understand if-" I cut him off we've been sitting in his driveway for about five minutes. I lean over and kiss him "See you tonight then." Suddenly his eyes lighten like he just remembered something important before he said "So Ashley..." he begins I don't know if I want to hear this but what's the harm? "Will come to my football game tomorrow night?" I don't know what I expected but it wasn't that. Taken by surprise I nod my head and say "Now get out of my car before I drive away." He rolls his eyes "Come kiss me goodbye?" He says flashing me his puppy eyes. Gosh, every time.

I find myself at his front door kissing him goodbye. It really didn't take much convincing for me to come actually. "I'm leaving now Andre!" I say after pulling away from a kiss. He grins at me , but a creepy kind of grin. One that makes me feel weird inside. "What?" I ask as he just stares at me. He just shakes his head and enters his house. He's weird.

I get a call from an unknown number so if course being me, I answered it. "Ashley! Hi, I hope you don't find it weird that I got your number but Uh- anyways, I heard your going to the game tomorrow night. I'm Lilly Rose by the way and I would love to be like your bff since I hang out with my boyfriend Max and his friends I hardly have the time for another girl but no that you and Andre are... whatever you two are, we can grow old together!" A familiar voice says all in one breath. I recognize her voice as the girl who sits with the boys at lunch. "Uh... Sure?" Is all I can say before she squeeles in delight and hangs up. My house door opens and I'm greeted by Andre's green eyes. But... my door was locked and he still came in...

"I have a key." Andre says looking amused. What. Even. This time he looks prepared for a "sleepover." He brought a sleeping bag and everything. I start laughing when I spot the Superman blanket and pillow in his hand. God he drives me insane. He follows my gaze and throws his pillow at me. It hits me in the face.

After settling down to sleep in our sleeping bags we drift off into a deep deep sleep...

After waking up and getting ready both Andre and I drive to school. Today we ride in Andre's car, of course he drives. The car ride there is boring and uneventful. We didn't even talk. But the silence was peaceful, the whole ride was peaceful.

Once we arrive at school a group forms around Andre's car. "Wha-" I start but Andre is already out of the car. He runs over to my side to let me out. I don't normally like attention but. Hey. I liked that. Andre grabs my hand as we walk through the crowd. They slit like the red sea.

After the long walk to the main entrance of the school we finally pass through the doors. Once inside I feel like I've completed a goal. Lost in my thoughts I don't notice Andre's sudden movement until I'm pressed against my locker. His face only inches from mine. I can feel his warm breath on me. I giggle as his hair tickles my forehead. He smiles kisses the tip of my nose. I think I'm Coal. With my parents pressure I became dust but under Andre's pressure I became a diamond.
