Don't Panic.

I have been rooted to the same spot for over an hour now. I've been staring at the door.

He isn't worth it, Ashley.

I finally decide to move, sort of. I sit down on the floor in the same spot I have been in for the past hour.

The door opens and I see the last person I thought would come. Marcus. "Mari?" He says softly when he sees me.

"Marcus. My heart has been shattered into a million pieces, and I don't k ow how to fix it." I say my voice breaking. I collapse into sobs as he wraps his arms around me.

"How long have you been in this spot?" He says till holding me.

"An hour and a half." I sob.

He strikes my hair but my breathing doesn't calm. My pulse quickens as the world around me blurs away.

"MARCUS!" I scream. "I- I CANT BREATH!" I say hyperventilating.

"Mari! Mari!" I hear distantly.

"Help-" I say barely whispering.
-
"No. Get out. You're the one who got her into this mess. You're the last one she wants to see."

"You don't understand! Marcus, come on. Just let me explain!"

"Out man."
-
My eyes open slowly as the bright sun shines through my windows.

"I want my mom." I say quietly. That's not something I expected to hear come from my mouth.

"Marianna? Oh, baby, I'm here. Mommy's here." I hear my mom's soothing voice say.

My vision clears and I see my mother's warm brown eyes.

"Mom!" I gasp. She pulls me into a hug refusing to release me.

"Oh Mari, I thought the panic attacks would stop after Emmanuel was gone." She says softly.

"They did. But he's back, and mom, all I want is to get out of here." I say motioning around my room.

"Oh honey-" she begins.

"Im going for a drive to clear my head." I say firmly sitting up in my bed.

My mom opens her mouth to say something, but decides against it.

I get up, grab my keys, and rush out the door.

I hop into my car and drive away.
-
I keep driving straight forward for miles and miles.

I come to light as it turns red. I wait a few seconds until it turns green. I hit the gas slowly when a truck comes from nowhere. A blur of lights and sounds flash before me.

A scream is heard. I realize it's me screaming. I see blood everywhere. It's my blood.

My eyelids grow heavy but I will myself to keep them open.

I have to get out of here. I look around and see the window on the passenger's side is broken.

Should I do this?

I drag myself to the window and am halfway out when I'm ready to give up.

"Come on Ashley!" I mutter to myself.

After resting for a few moments I am out on the street. Blood trickles down from my temple and my arms are covered in blood.

I don't see anyone anywhere. The normally busy intersection is now empty.

"Hello?" I call out. "Is anyone there?"
