THE BOYS
POV
We were finally on the highway and everyone had finally gotten restful and were sitting back, occupied by at least something. Gen had his eyes calmly locked on the road, Zoc was on his phone texting, and Ron was just listening to music on his iPhone.
I looked at my phone and sighed, tapping the screen constantly. I hadn't received anything from Kai yet and I'm pretty sure she was actually having fun in her car. Me, I'm just sitting here being a grinch while the others laugh and joke around.
"Let's play a road game." Ron said quickly and loudly, pausing his music.
Zoc scoffed and side eyed over at Ron, locking his phone, "We're not all lame like you, Ron."
"I agree with that." Gen said keeping his eyes focused on the road.
"It's better than sitting in silence, shouldn't we be bonding or something?" Ron said angrily.
That's exactly what Kai told me, she told me to bond with them. As if they were people I never met before. I should at least listen to her.
"I agree with him." I said contently, not moving from my gaze out the window.
"Oh, did you guys her someone speak?" Zoc said, raising an eyebrow.
"No I did not hear someone speak." Gen said in the most innocent voice he could fake, "What about you Ron?"
"Oh no, it sounded like someone was speaking from the passenger seat but there's no one sitting there." Ron smiled, waving his hand around me without touching me, "No one."
I shook my head and turned to face everyone, "Shut the fuck up, I agree with him. Let's just play a game before I turn back around and say nothing for another hour."
"Ooooh feisty." Zoc wiggled his eyebrows and burst out laughing, and didn't stop until he realized my facial expression didn't change at all, "Well fine. What are we playing? Ron?"
Ron looked up as if he would've found the answer sitting there on the ceiling of the car, and apparently he did, "Uhm...lets play Name That Tune." Ron smiled optimistically and looked at all of us.
"....What the fuck is that?" Gen said side-eyeing Ron.
"You have to hum a song and whoever gets it wins a point, duh." Ron said bluntly, rolling his eyes. "I'll go first."
Ron sat up quickly, straightening his back and clearing his throat. He smiled and happily started humming "It's a Hard Knock Life", probably unknowingly swaying from side to side.
I looked disgustedly at him and rolled my eyes. Zoc was doing the same (even worse) and Gen was having an attempted silent laughing fit in the drivers seat. I looked at Gen and started to laugh, shaking my head.
"It's a hard knock life." I said holding in my laughs, "you're humming it's a hard knock life"
"Correct. Point for Pov." Ron laughed, checking off an invisible check mark in the air, "You go next."
Gen had finally finished laughing, looking at me anticipated to get another laugh, and Zoc was back on his phone, ignoring us. I sighed and started to hum "Hold On We're Going Home."
"JUST HOLD ON WE'RE GOING HOMEEE." Gen yelled out, singing alone with the tune I was humming.
I laughed and stopped humming, shoving him away from me.
"Correct. Point for Gen." I said imitating Ron in a shrill voice and checking off daintily in the air, causing Gen to actually burst out laughing this time.
