THE BOYS
POV
We had traveled back upstairs and began to walk through the halls aimlessly.
"Why are we doing this again?" Zoc asked, angrily.
"Because there's something weird about this hotel." Gen said, turning the knob on each door to see if it was open.
"Some room in this hotel had electricity, or well, some area." I said, looking back at them.
"Or maybe that switch is just set up differently..." Ron said, suddenly wide awake.
"No." Gen said, looking at all of them angrily, "It wasn't."
"Ugh." Zoc said, starting to join Gen in turning knobs, "This is getting us nowhere."
"It will, just be patient." I said, rolling my eyes, "All you guys do is complain."
"Whatever." Zoc said, blandly.
Gen began to walk faster, turning knobs over and over until we realized we had turned all the knobs.
"That's it." Gen said, staring at the door confusedly, "I don't understand."
"I was right." Zoc said, "Now can we go back to our rooms?"
"....I guess." Gen said, "Let's go."
We all turned around quickly, ready to walk back down the hallway into our rooms until we were stopped by someone.
"Follow me." the receptionist said blandly, as usual.
"The fuck is going on?!" Zoc said angrily, since he was probably embarrassed that he got so startled.
"Follow. Me." the receptionist repeated, starting to walk down the hallway.
"Should we?" Gen asked curiously.
"Yes." I said, starting to walk behind him, "Isn't that what they do in the scary movies?"
THE GIRLS
KAI
Rahja and I were walking down the block of the motel, keeping an open eye out for either the stoners or Karina.
"We should've never brought her. Or we should've let her travel with Cynthio." Rahja said.
She's been complaining for the whole time we were walking, but I couldn't blame her. I didn't really enjoy walking around at around 5'o clock in the morning in my pajamas for my party maniac friend.
I sighed and shrugged, still looking around, "Complaining is getting us nowhere, Rahja."
Rahja groaned and began mumbling to herself, pushing her hands angrily in her onesie pocket.
I shook my head and stuck my hands in my pocket along with her, still keeping an open eyes out for my friend.
"GUYS!" I heard a voice yell loudly ad obnoxiously from a distance.
I smiled and looked farther away, squinting my eyes. That wasn't any loud and obnoxious yelling, that was Karina's loud and obnoxious yelling.
"OVER HERE!" She yelled louder, and I saw her arm waving back and forth from across the street.
"KARINA!" I yelled, running across the street, Rahja following behind me.
"Hey guys!" She smiled as we got closer to her, "I just had the moooost fun with these weed girls."
I could see that she was clearly still intoxicated, and I glanced angrily at Serena. She smiled and waved as if she hadn't done anything wrong.
"You said you'd take care of her." I said angrily.
"I did...she just wanted some fresh air and she was about to be sick so I brought her out here and she bolted down the street." Serena said, looking over at Karina, "We finally caught her and she didn't wanna go back inside so we brought her to the pier."
"Look a seagull!" Karina smiled before bursting into a giggling fit and trying to grab at it.
"We're going to our room." Rahja said angrily, gripping onto Karina's arm and pulling her away from her new friend, "You're obviously not okay."
"I'm fineeee." Karina smiled wearily, turning around to face Rahja, yawning loudly, "I'm just tired..."
Before you knew it Karina was out cold on Rahja's shoulder, putting all of her weight on her. Rahja groaned and lifted her up off of her feet.
"Uh well thanks I guess." I said looking over at Serena, "For taking care of her. I'll call you guys when I get my phone back."
"No problem." Serena smiled, "We can meet up for a hit anytime."
"Thanks." I said, beginning to follow behind Rahja who was struggling about to hold all of Karina's slouchy body weight, "Later guys."
I turned around and began to walk faster to catch up with Rahja, helping her a bit with the load.
"Surprisingly so glad we're gonna be out on the road again tomorrow." I laughed, looking down at my feet.
"Ugh, me too." Rahja said rolling her eyes, "This was a bad idea from the start."
