THE BOYS:
POV
Nighttime had came around and Zoc was asleep, Ron was leaning his head against his window, and I was the only one actually wide awake. Besides Gen, who was in the process of scanning the highway for a motel to spend the night in.
"Oh look, here's one." Gen said, immediately pulling over, waking up Zoc and making Ron bang his head into the window.
"What the fuck." Zoc said half asleep, rubbing his eyes.
"Ow..." Ron rubbed the side of his head and sighed, "are we here?"
"If here is at a motel then yes." Gen said pulling into a parking spot and opening the car doors, "Get out."
I sighed along with the others and got out of the car and took their bags out of the trunk, while Gen locked the car doors and began to walk to the entrance of the eerily displayed motel.
"This doesn't look like a motel." Zoc said blandly, staring up at the building.
"Yes it does." Gen said, opening the doors and walking in.
We all followed cautiously behind him and to the front desk. Well, except me who was walking around the lobby, eyeing everything in the room.
"This place looks really cheap." I said, putting my hand on the display vase.
"The cheaper the better." Gen said as the receptionist came out from his back room.
"Hello, welcome to Four Brothers Overnight Motel. Would you like to book a room in Four Brothers Overnight Motel?" he said dimly, his facial expression matching.
"Actually we'd like to book 2 rooms, 2 beds each room." Gen said professionally, handing him the money.
"Okay," the receptionist said, handing gen two room keys, "thank you for your patronage to Four Brothers Overnight Motel."
"....Mhm." Gen said, picking up his bags quickly and walking up to the elevator, us following behind him.
"This is not fucking normal." Zoc said, angrily staring at Gen, "I don't want to end up like the people in the scary movies, Gen."
"I second that." Ron said, somewhat scared.
"We already PAID." Gen said, looking around, "we have no choice."
The elevator door creaked open and we all piled in quickly, leaning back against the walls.
"Maybe if I die tonight, I won't have to go back in that annoying ass car." I said, sighing.
THE GIRLS:
KAI
"Heyyyyy!" Karina yelled obnoxiously.
I could feel her hitting my shoulder and I could hear her hitting everyone else. I sat up slowly, rubbing my eyes with both of my fists.
"What the FUCK do you want." Rahja said, rudely awakening.
"We're at the motel, damn." Karina said, pulling her hand back, "I think you guys would rather spend your night in a soft bed than in these uncomfortable car seats."
"Of course I would." Zesenia said, emphasizing on the I, "I can't deal with staying in this car any longer."
"Whatever." I said, sitting up completely and opening the car door.
It wasn't really cold, but the air was cool and breezy. I covered my body with my blanket from my suitcase, and walked to probably the wildest motel I've seen.
In huge bright purple and pink letter, it read SUNSHINE PARTY MOTEL. People were outside with red Solo cups, talking and lingering around. Music played faintly but easily noticeable from the inside, and bright pink and green lights shone from the door. It looked like something from out of a music video.
"Karina, what is this?" I said angrily, turning around and looking at her.
"It's the motel I booked us for before we took the trip..." she said, "What's wrong with it?"
Rahja slapped her hand to her forehead and shook it while Zesenia seemed to be in a trance by the bright lights. Or maybe she was still half asleep.
"I don't know if you know this but people book motels so they could have a comfortable and quiet place to sleep in for the night. Not so they could party all night and be too tired to drive in the morning." I said, slightly raising my voice into an annoyed tone.
"Wel, luckily I'M not driving in the morning. " Karina said, smiling optimistically, looking at Rahja, and skipping towards the motel.
"....white people." Rahja shook her head and pulled Zesenia, who had almost fallen asleep on her shoulder, towards the motel entrance, while I had no other choice than to just sigh and follow along with her.
Well, except spending the night in that car, which I REFUSE to do.
