Mea couldn't stop shaking. She slowly slid down to hold her knees and she just shook. "Hey, iit'll be ok." Ian promised.

"The only reason you talked to me was because you thought I might have new like you. Right?" She almost didn't want to know. But mea knew she had to.

Ian sight and pushed his fist at his eyes. "At first I had no idea. That was the first day at the coffee shop. When I left, I-I mis read your smirk as like a 'I know your secret' so I asked you to hang out again. But you seemed surprised in a introverted kind of way and I wasn't sure again. But I have no doubt know."

Oh. Mea didn't want to hear that. "Im sorry. I need to get ho-" But before Mea could finish, flashing sirens blurred her already tearing eyes. Shit. Ian looked at her, and mouthed something. Not knowing what he'd said she shut her mouth and angrily swiped at her pale cheeks. God she was frozen. Then it was like they were invisible and somehow intangible. The cars and firetrucks were zooming straight at them and Mea nearly died of fear, but it was as though they weren't even there. Vehicles went through them and it was so surreal.

"Weird huh?" Ian asked looking extremely focused.

Weird. Hah, what an understatement. This surpassed the everything strange ever. "Yeah. Sure is." Mea bit out.

Ian did a double take of Mea and then sucked in a sharp breath. "You're steaming, calm down ok. They'll see the steam, fact we should start to head home and forget this happened."

Mea fumed more. "Forget! You expect to forget this evening! Im not even a f******human, and I just wen through the most traumatic thing that has ever happened to me and you want me to f****** forget it?!" She slapped him hard across his face and he screamed. Braking his focus, he had to swiftly grab her, and get them far away from the sene. Fast.

"Look," he said seemingly pissed off. Mea though angrily, 'You have no eight to be mad!' But before she could say it he was talking again still holding tight to her arm as he walked. "You have a lit of living to do in a short amount of time. You're so lucky to have been hidden from this part of life for so long. So flipping lucky, and so unbelievably naive. So stop being such a goddamn priss and put of your big girl panties because that back there," he pointed with the hand not gradually getting tighter around her arm. "Was nothing."

Dropping her arm before she could even open her mouth to rebuttal, he swiftly turned and sprinted faster than her eyes could even follow, leaving her in his dust. Alone.

Gasping, Mea realized she'd been holding her breath. "Dammit." She was crying, her throat had a lump so big is burned as she tried to swallow it down. He made he cry. God he was a jackass.

Looking around she noticed he left her out front of her house. Mea smoothed out her clothes and shook out her hair to re put it up. She whipped her tear stained cheeks and licked her lips. Taking a deep breath she walked up to enter the house she called home, gluing the best fake smile she could onto her face.

"Mea, that you?" Her father called from the family room downstairs.

Slipping off her shoes she hollered back, "Yup, sorry if I'm a little late dad."

Hearing his footfalls coming up the stairs she went to get a glass of cold water to cool her off. "You're fine. How was work? And Ian." The way he'd said Ian with such distaste made her smile.

She took a sip of water and immediately felt ten times better. "Works been good lately, not to busy, not too slow."

Her father nodded. "Ok, Im going to go to bed. Night sweetheart."

After he'd left, she let out a depression of pent up air and ran upstairs to cuddle with Cheeto till she fell asleep.
