Sunday went by faster than shed thought. Pretty soon Monday morning was clawing cheerily through her curtain blinds, and her alarm rang an annoying tune through her room. Her mother would be home soon. And with her mother home soon, her sister would follow. It'd be a full house.
An hour later she was ready with beige slippers, black leggings, a peach undershirt, and a grey cardigan. He hair was pin straight, an parted down the middle falling to just about her waist. She also shrugged on his jacket. Mea had done minimal makeup, and she was "ok" with how she looked today.
"Welcome home Dad." She hugged him grabbing a mug to start some tea for school.
Smiling he nodded. "It sure is, ready to go?"
She cursed herself internally. Dammit. "Uh is it ok if I caught a ride with my friend?" She chewed on the inside of her cheek facing the spinning tea in the microwave.
"Well that depends-" He was stopped mid sentence when the door bell rang.
Walking to the door she was greeted by a rush of cold air, and Rey's smiling face and bright blue eyes. She blushed. Mea felt her father come up beside her and put a hand on her shoulder protectively. "Morning sir. Id like to drive your daughter to school, and I was wondering if that was okay with you."
Her father sighed and sent a fore longed look in Mea's direction. "If you have the decency to come to my door an ask, and If my daughters okay with it, then I have no choice but to accept."
Hopping in his car, Mea shivered from the cool air that nipped at her skin through her clothes. She shivered despite herself. "Cold?" He asked her starting the car.
"Not with this jacket," she said warmly. "You really impressed my dad there you know."
He chuckled a little and nodded, "Yeah I know." His lips formed a beautiful smile and he looked over at Mea with happiness brimming him full. "Im glad you like the jacket, it suits you better than me, but I gotta say, you look beautiful today."
Meas stomach felt like she was sky diving. She felt the heat rise in her cheeks and turned to look out the window, seeing their school. "Hey Rey?" She asked.
"Yeah?" he turned the car off parked looking at her.
She sighed. "I think Im f-" a tap on her window made her jump, and as she turned to look she met eyes with Ian.
AN so sorry for the wait. Ive had a really shitty last while.
