Charlie listened as Dumbledore told them about the triwizard tournaments she didn't really like the sound of it but she was intrigued. She turned to Cedric Diggory knowing since he was of age all too well that he wanted to compete. After the Beuaxbatons and Durmstrang boys were introduced she was completely disgusted at how the boys were drooling over the Beuaxbatons girls yet, amused at how the boys seemed to be disgusted at the girls doing the same over the Durmstrang boys. Charlie wasn't the type to be drooling over boys if she liked a boy she wasn't going to go mental like...a fan girl if you will.
"Hey, Cedric are you going to put your name in the goblet?" Charlie asked as she was walking back to the common room. "Why, yes" he responded. He turned and looked at Charlie once they were inside the Hufflepuff common room and saw the uneasiness on her face. "Aww, come on there's a slim chance I'll even get into the tournament" he said nudging her. "But what if you do?" Charlie responded. He crouched down too her eye level "I'll make sure to be careful" he said. "Now come here" he said opening his arms for a hug. Charlie wrapped her arms around Cedric. They were like brother and sister. When Charlie was a first year and the other kids made fun of her for not being a normal girl and liking "boy things" what ever boy things were. Cedric was always there to help her feel better and defend her. But ever since first year she vowed never to let anybody get to her or at least show that they did.
"Now go to bed Charlotte" he said after the hug. "Hey! I told you never to call me Charlotte I like Charlie way better" she argued. I know, that's why I said it" he responded with a grin. "HEY" she said grabbing a pillow then hitting him. "Violence is never the answer" he said in a teasing manner. "Well, it's my answer" she said hitting him again. "Oh,it's on" he grabbed a pillow and chased her. Then the two proceeded to have a pillow fight. "Alright" Charlie said. "I'm going to go upstairs and take a shower then get in bed. She said. "Yea, I better do the same and since when were you the responsible one" he asked. "Since now" she replied then walked up the stairs to the girls dorms.
