Kiara and Kovu made their way over the path, once marked out by her father, to the watering hole.
"So... what sort of chat do you think this will be?" Asked Kiara, giggling. Kovu frowned.
"What do you mean?!" He asked.
"Well, when father calls me for a chat, they are often about two topics. The first- "I expected better of you!" and the "We better set down some new 'ground rules' as such..." Varieties." She explained. Kovu just shrugged, took a deep breath, and puffed his chest slightly as view the view of the waterhole, and flamy headed Simba, was visible.
Kiara approached him with a nuzzle, and he accepted. Kovu bowed slightly to him, before Kiara set down next to him. Simba sighed. "I expected better of you two... We better set down some new 'ground rules' as such..." He started, before Kiara went in to hysterics. A sharp glare from both males was enough to stop her promptly.
"Zazu told me what... happened. First rule- No cubs!" He commanded. Kiara growled.
"Daddy, if that even was what we were doing, I am a fully grown Lioness, why can't we have cubs?!" She roared. Simba leapt to his feet.
"Because you are my Daughter, and you do what I tell you to!" He retorted, with a face of thunder.
"Oh, because I've never heard that one before!" She snapped, turning on her heels.
"Honestly daddy!" She mumbled, storming away.
"Kovu?" Sighed Simba.
"Yes... father?" Replied Kovu.
"No cubs.... promise me?" He asked. "It's for your own good. Trust me. The time will come." He added. Kovu nodded in agreement, before following his wife.
