Ryland P.O.V.

I looked at Riker, a bit confused. "I... I wasn't devilish..." Nola said when she finally realized it. I saw her looking into Ross' eyes. I felt kinda sorry for everything they're going through. They're so cute together, they don't deserve so much pain. We all knew Nola had to ask her parents about this, but she couldn't... Then Nola said: "All vampires are evil, there must be something that prevented me from becoming evil, but what?" "Aren't all vampires born evil?" Ross asked her. "Yeah, why?" Nola said. "Wait a minute... If all vampires are born evil, but Nola wasn't evil, then she wasn't born as a vampire!" Bree said. Wow, she's smart. "Exactly!" Ross said. "But.. my parents... they're not my parents. Who are my parents?" Nola stuttered. "What about a DNA test?" mom says who just walked in. I wondered how she knew everything. "I walked by and heard something so I spied for a while. But you could've told me!" she answered after I asked her.

"Okay, I understand it. I'll call you back later. Bye!" Nola put the phone down. "And? What did he say?" mom asked. "They want to do a DNA test, but to find out if my family is my real family, they need DNA from my parents and my brother too." Nola sighed. "I'll never get them there. I'm afraid we'll never find out..." she leaned on Ross. I could see how tired she was. We all were, it was late. Bree was already leaning on me, sleeping. She looked beautiful, like always. I put my arm around her and kissed her forehead. I still didn't get why she was so insecure. She was amazing, and definitely had to realize that...

I woke up from a sound. It was dark, so probably somewhere in the middle of the night. I looked around when my eyes got used to the dark. Everyone fell asleep after the phone call, I think, since everyone sat the same way as earlier. I didn't see anything that could've caused the sound I woke up from, which was a bit confusing. Then I softly heard thunder, from far away. That must've been it. My throat felt dry so I decided to drink some water. I slowly stood up, making sure Bree leaned on the other side of the couch. When I reached the kitchen, I turned on the light and took a glass. Then suddenly a loud thunder reached somewhere in the garden. A bright flash lightened the whole room. When I looked at the window, I stood there in front of no one else than Voldemort, which made my heart stop for a second. It's fake, it's just a dream. I wish... Suddenly, the light went off. My heart was beating like a freak now, and my head became sweaty as I walked back to the couch. I heard foodsteps on the stairs. My eyes widened and I started shaking. It stopped quickly and I closed my eyes. I felt myself dreaming away, not hearing more footsteps coming closer...
