Silently glaring at the small orange peel behind me, I felt my cheeks burned in embarrassment as all eyes turned to me. There was a moment of silence before everyone burst out into laughter. No doubt I was in an awkward position, with me sprawling on the ground and my butt on the floor. Wincing slightly, I quickly scrambled up to my feet and hurried over my seat, ducking my head low the whole time. I didn't dare to look at anyone in the eye, as all my pride and dignity had already thrown out of the window the moment I slipped and fell butt-faced onto the ground.
All because of an idiot who didn't bother to throw a freaking orange peel into the litter bin.
Thank God I wore jeans instead of a skirt today, or else I'd have to drown myself just to escape the ultimate humiliation that would befallen me.
What's worst, I fell in front of him. Of all students in the school, he was among those who had witnessed my humiliating fall.
