"You're here, in charming. How?" I asked as I stuttered my words a little as I looked at Liam standing at my door

"By plane. Anyway, I've been going crazy these past few weeks and even more since you haven't been in New York. I can't stand being away from you Mia. I can't do it anymore. I want to be with you, only you" Liam said and I felt like crying "ever since I saw you walk into the men's bathroom at that meeting and the embarrassment on your face, I knew, you would mean something to me. I'm not gonna lose you, I'm going to fight for you. I know you love him, I get it but I love you. I'm not going to let him win, I'm going to give it my all and be the best person for you. Please let me" Liam said

I didn't know what to do. Yes I still love Jax but with Liam standing here in front of me, I know that he means a lot to me. Liam's been there when no one else has, he's helped me be a better person and get over my demons. I'm so grateful for him.

"I love you too" I said and I hoped Jax didn't hear that but I also knew that I didn't mean it in the way liam wanted me too

I let Liam into the house and made my way to the living room. I know Jax is in there but we are friends and Liam will need to realise that if he wants to be with me. I walked into the living room to see it empty, everything was back to the way it was but Jax was no where to be seen. Did he hear Liam and leave or is he in the kitchen.

"I missed you so much" Liam said as he hugged me from behind

I turned and hugged him back but I couldn't kiss him. Not after what just happened. It would be to weird and I'm not going to do it.

"So are you here for good or?" I asked as I moved from him and sat on the couch

"Hopefully. I do still have my apartment in the city and my job, I've took a few weeks off to spend with you. I can't promise I'm going to love it here but if this is what makes you happy, living here then I'll stay" Liam said as he grabbed my hand

"Charming makes me happy. All my memories are here, most of the good ones anyway" I smiled

"Then I want to know all of them, even the embarrassing ones. Show me the Mia Troy from charming and not the women who is a published author" Liam smiled

"You really want to know?" I asked

"There's nothing I don't want to know" Liam said

"I think I'm gonna need wine for this. Do you want a beer?" I laughed as I stood up

"Yeah go on" Liam said

I made my way through to the kitchen and opened the fridge. I grabbed a beer for Liam and checked the cupboards for a wine glass for me. As I reached into the cupboard I saw my phone light up. I grabbed it to see a text from Jax.

'I'm sorry I left but he's the right one for you Mia. If he wasn't he wouldn't give up what he knows or who he is. He's a city boy and he's willing to move to a small town. He makes you happy, you might not think it or see it but I do, I know this because I made you that happy once. He's your second chance at love and sometimes the second time around is better. He loves you. I'm not going to stand in the way of that. Don't let him give up to easily. I love you, always have and always will but you deserve this chance at happiness.'

He heard everything. That's why he was gone. I tear fell down my cheek but I wiped it away quickly. Jax is right, this is my second chance at love. This isn't going to be easy, not with being in charming and Jax living here but we are all adults.

"Yous set a warehouse on fire?" Liam asked and he was a little shocked

"Hey, we were the wild kids of charming. Us four were unstoppable. We didn't mean to set it on fire, Opie was smoking I shoved him and the cigarette fell and well something caught on fire and the next thing I know the thing was burning. We never got caught but it was an old warehouse, it was tiny, smaller than this house" I said

"Was anyone inside?" Liam asked

"No of course not, it hadn't been used in like 30 years. This was like 15 years ago Liam, calm down" I laughed

"So Opie, he's the guy in the pictures back in New York?" Liam asked

"Yeah, Opie was the older protective brother. He was the kindest guy ever and the best person to go to when you needed help" I smiled

"He seems like someone I would like to have met" Liam smiled

"We're back" Chibs Scottish accent booked through the house

"Who is that?" Liam asked as he stood from the couch

"Chibs" I laughed

"Mom, I went on the back of a motorbike today" junior laughed as he ran into the living room

"You done what? I swear to god Chibs, you better not have put my son on your bike" I said as Chibs walked in behind him

"Nah, don't be daft. We are just joking. Who's this" Chibs asked as he looked at Liam

"Chibs, this is Liam, Liam this is Chibs, one of my dads best friends" I said introducing them

"You finally grew some balls and came to charming. That's good of you" Chibs laughed as he shook Liam's hand

"Yeah, you could say that" Liam laughed nervously

"Are you staying forever? I missed you" junior said as he hugged Liam

"I missed you to buddy" Liam said as he lifted him up

"Well, I better get off. I have been called to the club house tomorrow morning. Not sure why, I've not been in that place in a year, seems like we have all been summoned" Chibs laughed

"I might drop by to do my nosey" I laughed

"Nice try, I'll be locking the doors and windows so you can't" Chibs laughed

"Aw dam, wanted to be able to eavesdrop this one time" I laughed

"Well you'll not be this time sunshine, have a nice night and nice meeting you Liam, I'll need to take you for a beer sometime, tell you the best stories about Mia" Chibs laughed

"That won't be happening" I laughed as I pushed Chibs out the living room

"Aye it will" Chibs laughed which caused junior to laugh
