Nothing Can Last Forever

Chapter 11: On Days Like These

The two entered the flaming demon dimension and walked up the fleshy gravel path.
"That's a big fortress" the guard admired, staring at Lucifer's castle.
"Well well, look who decided to show up" Lucifer taunted, floating in the air from behind them.
"Where's Luna?!" Dusk growled.
"In the chamber" Lucifer told him.
"What sort...Of chamber" the guard asked, revealing his identity.
The King's son that apparently 'died'.
"Oh, the stake burning chamber of course!" Lucifer chirped, "Ta ta!"
With that, she disappeared into her castle.
"She's gonna be burned at the stake!" Luna's brother cried.
"Follow Lucifer!" Dusk shouted as they dashed into the castle, the gate was open already...odd...
They entered the first room, the throne room.
"Hello fools!" Lucifer's voice echoed around the room.
The gate slammed shut.
"This is the last place you will visit...Your final destination".
"What did you do to Luna you idiot!" The Prince boomed.
"She's alive...For now... If you destroy all my waves of soldiers, guards and me in an hour... She will remain unharmed but, if you don't... Say goodbye...Deal?" Lucifer smirked.
"What choice do we have!?" The Prince muttered.
Dusk sighed as he spoke up, "Fine!"
Lucifer laughed, "Wave one...commence, times starts NOW!"
Small demons approached but they were slaughtered in an instant.
Every wave was getting slightly more difficult but didn't seem to stop the two.
The final wave was devils...The hardest of the lot.
No blade seemed to do any damage.
"What do we do!? Our blades don't work!" Dusk sobbed.
The Prince brought out a guardian angel pin his father gave him when he was young and shown it to the bloodthirsty devils.
They automatically burned to a crisp.
"How did you know it would work!?" Dusk gasped.
"They're devils, heard of exocisms?" The Prince chucked.
They only had 5 minutes till Luna was burned.
The Prince and Dusk dashed to the room where Luna was kept to find Lucifer guarding her.
"BOSS BATTLE" She cried as she threw fireballs at the two.
They dodged and managed to miss them.
Lucifer charged a plasma ball which struck the Prince down.
"Defeat her... save my sister" He shouted as he was knocked out.
Dusk seen the timer, on minute to go.
He swung his sword at Lucifer, he was filled with Determination (UnderTale reference).
Luna struggled out from the rope a little bit so her hands were free.
30 seconds...
Lucifer laughed as she taunted him, circling him using her flying powers.
Dusk scratched Lucifer's eye and she growled as she covered it up.
He dashed to Luna but it was too late, Lucifer got there first.

1...
Dusk grabbed the Prince and jumped out the window.
The flames were small at first but Lucifer jumped out the flames, ready to deal the final blow on Dusk but Luna grabbed Lucifer from behind and dragged her back into the flames.
Before he could stop her, Lucifer and Luna's bodies were engulfed in flames.
Lucifer's screams could be heard but Luna remained silent.
'You're all free now, free from my demons and me, enjoy your time without me' Luna thought.
"RNUTER YAM I TAHT REWOP TNEICNA EHT EKOVNI I NRUB OT EMOC SAH EMIT YM  LTOLOXA!"
Luna cried as the Prince and Dusk returned to the normal realm.
