Chapter 14

ARIANA'S POV

"You have to be kidding me!" I shouted at Jay.

"Sorry, babe. That's just how I roll."

"B-but," I stuttered for the right words, "that's not fair. I have the other two yellow cards and now you just bought the last one."

He stuck his tongue out at me and handed Max the dice.

He greedily grabbed the dice and shook them in his hands. After that he blew into his hands and shook them. C'mon this was getting old. He continued to shake them. "On with it mate," Tom smacked Max in the back.

"Alright, alright. I am." He dramatically rolled the dice. They flipped to reveal a 2 and a 1. "YES!" He, rudely, jumped up from the ground and did a little dance. All of us rolling our eyes. "That's a three baby!! Suck it mates. Guess who just bought..." he peeked down at the Monopoly Board, "umm PENSYLAVANIA AVENUE! Which, do I mind you, that completes my Green set sooo yeah." He sat back down and counted out the money. He gave it to Nareesha who was the banker. Tom gave him the green Pensylavania Avenue card which Max set with his other cards.

"We're screwed, " Siva announced. We all mumbled our agreements. It was Kelsey's turn, she rolled the dice. A 3 and a 2 came up.

"Five," she announced proudly and started to move the 'hat'. "Three, four, f-." We all burst out laughing. She landed on the Go To Jail spot. This was the third time she had been in jail!!! "Shit, c'mon guys this isn't fair. Can we just pretend that I got a six. Please?"

"Nope rules are ruled, " Nathan stated.

She gave Tom a pleading look, "Sorry baby, but Nath is right." He put his arm around her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.

"You guys suck." She threw the dice at Siva. I tried to pop my back, it was stiff. We had been playing Monopoly for about an hour now. Since their was so many of us we were in a circle on the ground. It was not comfortable, but it was definitely fun.

I was getting hungry though. "Hey do any of you want popcorn?"

"YES!" Tom screamed.

"Tom," Kelsey chided.

"Please," he gave me a puppy look.

"I don't know why you are giving me that look. I just asked. I never said I was going to make some."

Jay spoke up, "I got it."

"No Jay. I can do it. I was only kidding. Where is it?" He gave me the instructions and I navigated his kitchen to find it. Once I did I put one in the microwave and pushed the 'popcorn' button. I did this three times. I found a big bowl on the bottom cupboard and poured the bags in it.

"Poooooopcorn," I cheered as I set back down next to Nath. Everyone stuck their hand in the bowl, coming out with a handful of the buttery goodness. "Alright. So whose turn is it." The game started back up again.

*3 hours Later*

Tom was bankrupt and not happy about it. He was shouting at Max while Kelsey physically held him back.

Max was trying not to laugh. "Mate. Mate, listen don't be mad. It's only a game."

"Just a game!? JUST A GAME!? C'mon mate you took all of my MONEY!" Tom had landed on Max's Blue cards with hotels and lost all of his money. This argument went on for about 10 minutes until finally Tom calmed down.

Jay had been laughing the whole time. I had been too. Actually we all were. He wiped the smirk off his face and said, "Well this had been fun, but it's late, my back aches, and I am afraid that we might breakup because of this bloody game."
