Akura-ou's POV
I'm in the hospital wing, shaking my knee nervously for the doctors report. We've been together for about a year and a half now, and this is the tenth time she's been in the hospital. I'm worried, the doctors say she's getting better, but I'm not sure she is.
A couple minutes later the doctor comes out from her room. "The report?" I ask nervously.
"She'll be alright. There was to much stress on her heart, especially due to past medical issues. The worst news . . . she won't be able to have kids." My heart sank. She said she wanted a child. I knew she would be devastated. "With all the scared tissue near her reproductive system, its nearly impossible that she will be able to carry a child."
"Can I go see her?" I ask the doctor, not bothering to get rid of the shaking in my voice.
"Yes, but don't tell her what I just told her, I want her to recover more before she takes in the news."
"OK." I stand and head for her room.
Zaria's POV ~Flashback one day~
My heart beats faster than normal. We're at the park, me and Akura-ou. He decided to take me here for a night out. Its dark right now and we're sitting on a blanket he placed on the grass.
My palms are abnormally sweaty, and my vision starts to blur. I reach my hand out to touch his shoulder, but miss when I fall back. I'm now laying down, breathing heavy and fast. Akura-ou is above me asking me what's wrong. He's shaking my shoulder, I want to respond . . . but I can't. The stars are bright tonight. I look up, and the last thing I see before I pass out, is his red hair in contrast to the world. Like a blazing red fire in the night sky.
~present day~My hospital room door opens and Akura-ou walks in. He looks worried, but when he sees me, his face lights up. I pat the empty spot on the bed next to me, telling him to come sit. He walks over and sits next to me. He places a cold hand on my cheek, but I don't mind. My face was hot, so that felt nice. He looked me in the eyes. "Its time to go home."
~one year later ~
I'm in the kitchen when Akura-ou walks in. He places the mail on the table and sits. He looks worried and a little bit shocked. I walk up to him and sit in the empty chair to his left. "Are you all right?"
"Yes . . . no, I don't know . . . Tomeo's back and he brought his fiancée. He wants us to meet her." I was shocked. We hadn't heard from him since he left, and that was over two and a half years ago. And now he turns up out of their blue wanting us to meet some girl? Well, I mean, he never did anything wrong, and him and Akura-ou are longtime best friends.
"It wouldn't be bad to meet him, what time does he want to meet?" I ask him.
"Today at three."
"Where?" I ask.
"The sakura tree at the south park."
"Oh, well, do you want to go? I think of would be a good opportunity to see him again. And to meet his fiancée."
"I guess. Do you want to come?"
"Of course! I mean, he did invite me." He gives me a tired smile and I give him a chipper one in response. I glance at the clock. Holy cr*p! "We better get moving. Its already two." I head to the room to get dressed for the day.
~At the Park~
We're waiting by the sakura tree when I see a young man with white hair and a young woman with brown hair walking towards us. "Is that them?" I nuged Akura-ou in the side and he nodded his head.
