More than friends?

It was a Saturday night, we were all sitting in Ashton's room, watching a movie. Well, we were supposed to be watching a movie, Luke was the only one watching it, his hand gripped firmly around my waist. Ashton had fallen asleep and Calum and Michael we're seeing how many tic tacs they could balance on his face until he woke up. God, I sure do love these boys.

I wasn't really sure what Luke and I were anymore. We weren't in a relationship ship, but we were more than friends. We hadn't discussed our status, but maybe we didn't need to.

I yawned "I think I'm gonna head out now guys"

Ashton suddenly woke up, coughing and spluttering because several tic tacs had fallen into his mouth, we all laughed.

I said goodbye to the boys and opened the front door

"I'll drive you home" Michael said, appearing behind me

"It's fine, I can walk, it's only a couple blocks away"

"Ava it's dark, I'm not letting you walk home by yourself" he spoke "at least let me walk with you"

"Let's goooo " I pushed Michael out the door 

"Some fucking boyfriend" Michael muttered

"He's not my boyfriend" I said firmly

"Sure seems like it, and he's not a good one either, he doesn't even care whether you get home safe, he was gonna let you walk home in the dark at 2am, anything could've happened to you" Michael said

"I can look after myself, and don't talk about Luke like that!" I frowned

"I'm sorry okay? It just makes me mad how he - ugh, don't worry about it, cya tomorrow" 

I hugged him "thanks for always being here for me"

"You're my best friend, I'm always gonna be here for you" he smiled

"Goodnight Michael"

"Goodnight Ava"

I decided that I liked Luke a lot, and I wanted us to be together, officially. I texted Luke that I was coming over, and walked to his house, I never have to knock on any of the guys' houses, I just walk in.

"Luke?" I called out

no answer

I slowly walked up to his room, and opened his bedroom door, only to reveal Luke in a hot, sweaty embrace with none other that his ex girlfriend

My heart collapsed in my chest, tears pooled in my eyes, a kind of sadness I had never felt before engulfed my body,  I felt lost, confused, but most of all, broken.
