Max's POV
"Jace." I said nervously. Johnnie rolled his eyes.
"Aww, are the freaks together now?" Gen asked from behind Jace.
I stiffined. "No! We're, um... Were..."
"Friends." Johnnie finished. Sweet Jesus Almighty, did he just say friends?! Holy living shit...
"Friends?" Jace scoffed. "This bitch doesn't have friends."
"Are you sure that's not you?" Johnnie asked.
"Don't waste your breath, Johnnie." I said. A searing pain shot through my head.
"Let go of my hair, Skylar!" I yelled. Gen was laughing like the evil queen she is.
I elbowed Sylar in the stomach to free myself. What have I done?? Gen grabbed my hair but I grabbed her wrist and twisted. There was a pain in my head as I fell. I saw Skylar standing there with Gen. Johnnie and Jace were throwing punches at each other. "Stop..." Was the last thing I said, before everything was black.
