Ashley's POV

Oscar is so nice to me. I just hoped he turned out to be my mate but he didn't. I am 17. I was supposed to find my mate when my mate turn 16. I still haven't found him so you know what that means. A ROOKIE!!! Probably some kid that wears glasses and wear pants that are too short and have sinus problems. I'm hated all throughout school but I am not a dork.

Like I was saying, standing there in Oscar's big strong arms, I thought nothing more but kissing him. But that would be weird, right. i mean Oscar is my crush that act like a brother to me. I am scared kissing him will just make him feel awkward and there'a going to one of those awkward silences where neither of us will try to break it. So yes avoiding that.

Suddenly the cafe doors open and this guy walks in all buff and what not. Oscar let me go and greeted him at the door. "Happy birthday man" I heard Oscar say. I didn't bother to turn around since I didn't really care what was going on. I heard them chat over sports never bothering to turn around.

I heard a chair being scooted back and I heard footsteps. A second over I saw the guy walking towards me and O MY GOD. I was frozen. He looked up at me and suddenly he froze too. He was about 6 feet tall in a tight black shirt showing all his muscles and skinny jeans. Damn this guy looks good enough to eat (will post picture of him soon as I got time).

Yes I think like that. But this guy was beyond yummy and as soon as I saw him, my wolf kept screaming 'mate, mate,mate' I didn't know what to do stop her constant repeating of that word in my head.

We probably stood there for 15 seconds staring at each other but it felt like forever. And trust me, I wouldn't mind staring at him forever. Out of my trance, I heard snapping and turned my head to see a very confused Oscar looking at both of us.

I got out of the trance but he was still in it. "Chase snap out of it" Oscar yelled and he finally blinked and took his eyes from me to the floor. We then both look at Oscar who was smiling at both of us clearly seeing what's going on.

He kept smiling at us and then chase yelled "Shut up" and then Oscar stopped smiling but not completely and sayin "I got to get to work before I get fired". I turned around to see Oscar walking away and then I heard Chase say "It's a surprise you're not fired yet" I turned around and smiled but was taken aback because he was glaring at me.

He grabbed my arms and tingles shot through my arms and he stopped telling me he felt them too. He pulled me outside behind the store and let go of my arm. I stood there waiting for what he was going to say. He looks at me and after what seems like forever says "Don't think just because we're mates that means we're going to end up together" I was confused and that clearly showed on my face.

After looking at my face he glared at me and said "I always imagine my mate to be hot. You're not hot. We can never end up together. You are ugly, and fat and I'm not sorry to say that I don't want you".

Everyword he said was like a knife stabbing through me over and over and over. I felt like tears was coming up and he saw them but his facial expression didn't change. I let him see that I was hurt, he just continued stabbing me "You know, faith has a weird way of punishing somebody. I work out seven days a weak and I get stuck with a mate as ugly as you. You disgust me, get out of my face"

I wanted to run. I wanted to scream but it's like the more he talks to me, the deeper I get stuck to the ground. Like his words are like tape. Taping me harder and harder to the ground. When he saw I didn't move he continued the bleeding "Don't you hear me stupid. I reject you. Run along home and tell your sad story. Boo Hoo. My mate rejected me."

At that I started crying "You don't mean none of that. We're mates. You can't reject me. You'll always love me. You don't mean none of that" He walked up to me not showing any sympathy. "You want me to show you I mean that".

I felt a hot slimy thing reach my face then later to realize he just spit on me. I fell to the ground in pain and he just laughed walking away and saying the meanest words ever. "You ugly as trash being mated to me. Girl dreams come true but that's something you'll never see". I felt cold and empty and then it all went black.
